A bye week is one of those things in football that is unpredictable. On one hand, it gives a team extra time to prepare for an opponent and rest up. On the other hand, it can throw a team off its rythym and leave them rusty. How did a free weekend affect the Spartans? As Steve Grinczel of MLive writes, it has at least helped MSU get over their October 1st loss to Michigan.
“A lot of guys are hurting real bad and making themselves prepare harder this week,” Morris said. “We know we let a big game get away and it feels real bad, but we have an even bigger game coming up.
“If we want to win this league, we have to beat some good teams, and they’re (Buckeyes) definitely a good team. They’ll be heated and come out steaming from their loss in a game they probably feel they should have won, but we’re in the same position. We’re itching to get a big win.”
