Stanton sets MSU passing record

According to MSU’s athletic department, Drew Stanton set a Spartan career record against Indiana and tied another.

Junior quarterback Drew Stanton set a school record with his ninth-straight game passing for at least 200 yards…Jeff Smoker held the previous record of eight games in 2003…it marks the 11th time in Stanton’s career he has thrown for over 200 yards.

Stanton also set a school record for throwing a touchdown pass in his ninth consecutive game, equaling the mark set by Jeff Smoker in 2001.

Additionally, Stanton’s 244-yard effort against the Hoosiers gives him 3,924 career passing yards, good for ninth-best in the Michigan State books.
