A comeback for Seth Mitchell? Hawaii ‘07 cancelled
Linebacker Seth Mitchell has missed the last two seasons due to knee injuries but is hoping to return for one more year in the Green and White. Just don’t ask him about it because you might jinx him. The Detroit News talked to coach John L. Smith about Mitchell and the story also mentions that the 2007 football game against Hawaii has been cancelled.
Mitchell probably won’t participate in any contact drills — but he will be in a uniform again for spring practice, with hopes of making it all the way back for training camp in August.
“We’re shocked at how well it’s come,” coach John L. Smith said.
“I think Seth is kind of shocked, too. It’s not swelling up all the time like it used to. He’s been running on it. As hard as that kid has worked, he deserves to have a year (to play).”
