MSU-UM game will start at 4:30 p.m.

UMWe’ve always been a big fan of night games and were happy to hear that MSU will be facing Notre Dame in prime time this season. Now it appears that the Spartans will also be playing Michigan under the lights, for at least part of the game anyway. Shannon Shelton of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Oct. 7th MSU-UM game will kickoff at 4:30 p.m. and the sun will set sometime in the second half around 7:00 p.m. Night games in Ann Arbor are a rarity it seems.

The Michigan-Michigan State football game is moving closer to nighttime.

Kickoff for the Oct. 7 matchup will be at about 4:30 p.m. at Michigan Stadium, where a game never has started at night. The telecast will be on ESPN.

The time was announced Tuesday, when ABC and the Big Ten released a schedule of telecasts primarily at night.
