Brown taken 25th overall by Cleveland
Spartan guard Shannon Brown, who many analysts had pegged as a middle-first-round talent, had to wait over two hours to hear his name called by NBA Commissioner David Stern on Wednesday night. After a number of surprise picks and trades, the Cleveland Cavaliers ended Brown’s wait as they selected him 25th overall. ESPN’s draft commentators raved about Brown as “the steal of the draft” and “a great fit for Cleveland.”
