Video: Izzo reflects on draft night
Tom Izzo has been working overtime lately. He and his staff had been doing all they could to make sure that his three players had a soft landing with some NBA team in Wednesday night’s draft. Izzo credited MSU assistant coach, Jim Boylen and his numerous NBA front office contacts.

“Jimmy Boylen did an incredible job. He has so many contacts within the NBA. We were talking to people and coaches and GMs everyday all day long up until about 10:30 last night. You know, I thought a couple of them could have gone a little earlier but really it doesn’t matter. I think people draft for what they need. I think all three guys were the first pick for their teams, even Paul who went in the second round, and that’s pretty impressive.”
