LSJ says Spartans will spend holidays somewhere warm

Palm treeBoth of the Lansing State Journal’s MSU writers believe that Michigan State will be heading to a warm climate this bowl season. As far as MSU fans are concerned, it’s about time.

Joe Rexrode believes that the Spartans will go 7-5. In his book, that puts the Spartans in the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. That sure beats Texas. Last year’s Insight Bowl featured the Big Ten’s #6 team vs. the Big 12’s #6 team.

Columnist Todd Schulz predicts the Spartans will do a little bit better than that at 8-4. He has MSU playing in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla. MSU football + Disney World sounds like a great family vacation to us.

Reporter Joe Rexrode is in his 4th season covering MSU. He predicts a 7-5 season and a trip to the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz.
