Ringer may spend Pitt game on sidelines
At his weekly press conference, Michigan State head coach John L. Smith announced that MSU running back Javon Ringer may be out of the Pitt game on Saturday due to an ankle he sprained against Eastern Michigan. Running back Jehuu Caulcrick just sat out of the EMU game himself with a sprained foot, but fortunately it looks like Caulcrick will be ready to go this weekend. It also looks like A.J. Jimmerson’s wish for more playing time will be granted.
Tim Kirby of the Lansing State Journal reports that Ringer could be on the field if treatment goes well.
Sophomore running back Javon Ringer may miss Saturday’s game at Pittsburgh with a sprained right ankle he suffered during the Spartans’ 52-20 win over Eastern Michigan.
“We’re hoping (Ringer can play),” coach John L. Smith said at Monday’s press conference. “If there’s any way he can be ready to go, he will. Having today off is good so he can get a lot of treatment.”
Ringer leads the team and is fourth in the Big Ten with 200 rushing yards through two games.
