John L. Smith fired
MSU has called a 1:30 press conference for Wednesday where it was announced that John L. Smith has been fired as Michigan State’s head football coach.
Rumors of the firing started on our Red Cedar Message Board (currently closed to non-registered members) this morning. Reportedly, the largest donors to MSU’s Ralph Young Fund were notified of the change today.
Smith will coach for the remainder of the season and the coaching search has already begun.
