ISU has their man, MSU officials to meet at 4:30 Sunday
Iowa State has had a couple of different coaching candidates in common with Michigan State so Spartans fans have been keeping a close eye on their coaching search. Apparently they’ve found their man and will be announced on Monday.
MSU’s search committee is set to meet at 4:30 in East Lansing. Reportedly it’s down to Cincinnati’s Mark Dantonio and LSU’s Bo Pelini. An Iowa State message board is reporting that MSU is hiring Todd Grantham, but that’s not what we’re hearing. We shall see.

Dear Cyclone fans,
We hope you’ve had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. It is truly a great time to be a Cyclone!
During the past several weeks Dr. Geoffroy, David Harris and I have spent considerable time speaking with and interviewing multiple candidates for our head football coaching position. Our goal was to recruit a coach to Iowa State University with great character and values, who also had a proven track record of competitive success that could add to the excellent foundation Coach McCarney built the past 12 years.
I am absolutely thrilled to share with you that we came to an agreement Sunday with our No. 1 choice from the first day of the search.
The purpose of this email is to personally invite each and every one of you to Hilton Coliseum on Monday evening to usher in the future of ISU football and also welcome the new coach, his wife and their children into our Cyclone family. This is a great opportunity for the Cyclone Nation to show the local, regional and national media that Iowa State University is engaged to take the “Next Big Step” with our football program.
The doors to Hilton Coliseum will open at 5:15 p.m. and the press conference will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Iowa State University marching band will perform before the news conference.
