Joseph and Morgan probably out for Big Ten opener
Both Maurice Joseph and Raymar Morgan will probably be out of the lineup when No. 24 Michigan State travels to Iowa on Thursday for the Big Ten opener. Joe Rexrode of the Lansing State Journal reports that both players are participating in shooting drills but likely won’t play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Raymar Morgan has a “slim-to-double-doubtful” chance of playing Thursday in Michigan State’s Big Ten opener at Iowa, coach Tom Izzo said Tuesday.
Maurice Joseph is “triple doubtful,” Izzo said. The MSU perimeter players only took part in shooting drills in Tuesday’s practice.
Both have stress reactions, the early stages of stress fractures - Morgan in his right shin and Joseph in his right foot. Morgan has missed the past six games and Joseph the past four for MSU (13-2).
