CBS Sportsline.com names SpartanTailgate.com the “Best Internet Message Board” during mascot competition
Last month Sparty made it to the Final Four of CBS Sportsline.com’s Most Dominant College Mascot on Earth competition but fell just short of claiming yet another championship. We’re sure that Team Sparty over at MSUAA isn’t losing any sleep over Sportsline.com’s “vote as many times and as often as you can” internet popularity contest. After all, Sparty has won three legitimate Mascot National Championships in the last four years.
Even so, it was nice of Sportsline.com to recognize the Michigan State fans from our message boards who so adamantly defended Sparty against Iowa State fans and their giant bird mascot Cy.
Best Internet Message Board: This honor goes to SpartanTailGate.com. One thread in particular covers the Spartans’ run through a good chunk of the tournament. The dialogue gets brutal around the 29th page of the thread, when Iowa State fans started to jaw with the MSU faithful. Ah, Internet e-thuggery at its best.
