Big Ten fans, set your Tivos for Tuesday
This is the week that many Big Ten football fans have been waiting for all summer (at least until the first game.) The annual Big Ten Media Days are held this week in Chicago and the event kicks off the college football season for fans and the media each year. The wait for the first game of the season usually goes by quickly for fans following media days and local news coverage should pick up quite a bit between now and when the season starts.
ESPNNews and ESPNU will be providing live coverage of the event on Tuesday and will be interviewing Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio as well as other coaches and players throughout the day. See the Big Ten’s press release for more information on television coverage for the event (and do note that the press release lists all times in Central Time.)
PARK RIDGE, Ill. - For the third consecutive season, the opening session of the Big Ten Football Media Days will appear live on an ESPN Network. All 11 head coaches will appear on both ESPNEWS and ESPNU when they address the assembled media from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT on Tuesday, July 31, from the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
Mike Hill will host live coverage from the ESPNEWS studios in Bristol, Conn., while Lowell Galindo and Tom Luginbill will manage the live broadcast from the ESPNU studios in Charlotte, N.C. In addition, Joe Schad will be in Chicago to provide live one-on-one interviews with selected coaches and student-athletes for ESPNEWS and College Football Live, the new daily college football show on ESPN from 2:30 to 3 p.m. CT.
