Keith Nichol recommits to Michigan State

Keith NicholAfter a short stop in Oklahoma, it appears that Lowell, MI quarterback Keith Nichol has recommitted to Michigan State. While in high school Nichol verbally committed to play at Michigan State for coach John L. Smith, but reconsidered after Smith was let go by MSU. He was then wooed to Oklahoma by Bob Stoops and spent his freshman year as a Sooner.

MLive.com and the Grand Rapids Press are now reporting that Nichol is following his heart back to MSU and will play for Mark Dantonio during his three remaining years of eligibility.

“My heart has always been at Michigan State,” said Nichol, who had originally verbally committed to MSU when he was a 16-year-old. “I’ve always been a real fan of there. I always dreamt of playing there.

“It was difficult having to change my mind the first time, but I was not comfortable with some of the changes there. I feel like I am back home now. It is where I want to be.”
