WILX News Ten Sports was on hand as Mark Hollis was named Michigan State’s next athletic director. WILX spoke with the new AD well as President Lou Anna K. Simon, Ron Mason, and Tom Izzo.
Michigan State trustee and former MSU head football coach George Perles sat down on Wednesday to talk with WILX News Ten Sports about MSU’s athletic director search committee. As we mentioned earlier this week, some in the media are already saying that Mark Hollis has the job wrapped up.
WILX News Ten Sports confirmed on Friday night that Michigan State Athletic Director Ron Mason will not seek a contract extension after his contract expires in June of 2008. MSU fans have speculated that Mark Hollis could be next in line for the position.
