a little known fact: espn gave rmk the opportunity to pick his interviewer from 3 choices: dan patrick, jeremy schaap, and a third whose name escapes me (perhaps chris fowler?). anyway, rmk picked schaap out of loyalty to his father. it was one of the worst decisions rmk could make.
with all this talk on the board about tarkanian, harrick, donovan, etc., let's remember rmk's 3 ncaa championships, 92% graduation rate while at indiana, and millions of dollars raised and donated to the iu library, all while NEVER having even an allegation on ncaa impropriety.

You think a company the size of ESPN, the leader in sports in America would actually just hire someone because of who their dad is? Thats pretty darn ridiculous that a station would take a risk like that without knowing the kind of person Schaap is. You think this was Schaap's first job?
