Schaap graduated from Cornell in 1991 and started working for ESPN in 1994. Suffice it to say that his Dad's name carried a lot of weight in the business and would have helped him secure a job in sports, no matter the employer. Also, (fair or unfair) no matter where he works he will be compared to his father.
