2. The post I responded to said that "Demen's parents won't let him go anywhere but UM". Gee, what does that imply? And I'm not talking just about Demens- I'm also talking about the Fred Smith saga when family, friends, UM recruits, lloyd Carr, Bo's ghost, and everyone else was pushing him away from MSU and towards UM
3. Again, I'm not just talking about tonight's posts- Fred Smith was actually worse.

1) Show me proof. I highly doubt St8 said that. Roe wanted to go to MSU. He obviously had a massive change of heart and I doubt any of us will ever be able to conclusively say what led to it. Judging from his quotes though afterwards, he really wanted to be at MSU.
2) Is that post so wrong? Obviously it might be a bit of an exaggeration, but the dude's Mom has been campaigning pretty hard for him to go to UM.
You said yourself that it happens on both sides. Then why are you so pissy about it? It's one thing to say "hey guys, it's just not true that the only reason he's going to UM is because of his parents. He happens to like the place himself, in fact he's said that he's always wanted a UM offer". It's another to say "Goddamit I am so pissed off at you guys. How is this any different than Delvon Roe??!? God I love jacking it to pics of Mike Hart!! Aarrrghg!!"

1. I really don't care enough to search, but I distinctly remember st8 saying things to the effect of "thank Roe's parents" or "Roy Williams should have recruited the parents better" and stuff like that. But hey, if you don't believe me, fine.
2. My point is that yes, it happens on both sides but MSU fans seem to only bring it up when a kid is supposedly leaning to UM and the implication is always that the kid is being pressured to go to UM and not that its the place he actually wants to go.

Yep, pretty much tells me that you couldn't find anything. Nice cover up though.
I hope that this is the last time that I have to say this to you but something tells me it won't:
THIS IS AN MSU MESSAGE BOARD. We are going to be biased against UM and biased for MSU. After being on this board for so long, how do you still not get that?
Tell me why is it that on the UM message boards, when Alex Legion or Deshawn Sims committed to UM he was seen as their "Mateen Cleaves" and the guy who was going to jump start their program. But when Fred Smith or Tyler Hoover commits to MSU it's seen as "they're afraid of competition, and they're going to be wasting their talents". I don't recall reading a single post on a UM message board saying "Gee, great pickup for Dantonio. These kids will jump start that program and really turn it around".

M, Roe is a horrible example. He had MSU on top for a long time. Yeah, Carolina pulled even for awhile and maybe slightly ahead, but the kid always liked MSU a lot. The only reason the "experts" said he was a UNC lock is because he told UNC reporters (both CarolinaBlue & Inside Carolina) what they wanted to hear, and they interviewed him a lot. SpartanMag and GSN didn't talk to him for about 5 straight months, so all anyone knew was what he told the Carolina guys and everyone ate it up. Yeah, Iz recruited his parents and they favored MSU, but in the end, it was totally his decision (which St8 attested to throughout the recruitment).

I thought I remember st8 saying he was hearing Roe to UNC as well, but I'll defer to your recollection.
What I don't understand is how you guys are assuming that just because Demen's mom favors UM, Demens won't make his own decision. I guess that's my little distinction pissing me off- its not just that a parent favors UM, its that the parent is essentially forcing the kid to choose UM. What evidence is there of that?

St8 did, but the only sources anyone heard from were the UNC guys. But hell, it's all in the past. Now with Demens, let me just say that I didn't mean to assert anything in my original post because I've never read any stories about the kid (not premium) and I'm only repeating what I can see in the subject lines of threads on tUnderground Bunker. In no way did I intend to offend the University of Michigan or its fanbase.
Now its radio commentators, on the other hand....

St8 and guys on SpartanMag said this, yes. Izzo always recruited the Roes. Is there any evidence that Lloyd is recruiting Momma Demens or is it just that she thinks that it's a better situation?

Hey jacka**, this is an MSU board...of course things like that are going to be said. If you don't like it, go spend your time at the scUM board...or better yet, the App State board... please leave...

some crap recruiting organization has him as a 3* player over other 2*'s. We must go off raw numbers, not a coach who actually studied the film

Quick question from someone who only follows recruiting when someone is about to commit, or has committed. I think it's useless to speculate much until its getting close to decision time.
That being said, I can not help but drool over Tyrell Pryor. He is the #1 football player and #23 overall hoops player ranked by Rivals. Does anyone think we have a chance??
Also, MSU is listed as a school of interest for all of the top 5 dual threat QBs. Does that mean MD does not have much confidence in our young QBs???
Thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

We have about a 10% chance with Pryor IMHO. The only saving grace is or BB program but I hear it is down to tOSU and WV We do need a dual threat QB. That is the way college FB is going and with a QB in the pocket that is a threat to run if possible it would help out the offense big time. We are still in on the QB M. Gray from Indiana (4*)

Regarding the QB's, it's common to take one QB in every class.
Dixon was a JLS recruit, and seems like he'll be in a battle with Foles just to hold on to the backup job this year. Cousins will take a redshirt this year to put him a year behind the other two. There's a good chance one of three will leave, seeing as how they're only two classes apart. That would leave only two QB's after next season, because Hoyer will have graduated.

We haven't seen Foles in 2 weeks. If this trend continues, I'd be willing to bet he comes down with some mysterious "injury" and gets his redshirt.

I hope so. I would hate to have his redshirt burned for only playing in one game.
