I see, well that makes clears that up a bit. I kind of feel baad for the kid if he really is not going to get an offer. Plus that can't help us recruiting in the DC area.

This kind of thing happens quite a bit at every school. I remember last year there was a player that scout.com had listed as a commit w/ offer however he never did have one. I can't remember his name was he was an unrated DB. It sounds like based on tapes and what not the coaches have said they probably will offer they just want him up at campus first. More an issue of a player jumpin the gun I think.

Brynden loved his visit to MSU and says he could see himself playing there. He is considering visits to Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Indiana, Boston College and Maryland.

Article on Scout talks about Livonia Stevenson Duo Myles White(WR) and Mitchell White(QB) are close to an offer ( they think)
Have offers from MAC schools, Enos was at their last game, and they were at MSU last week for the Indiana game. Both would be a good get, although I think Mitchell is more highly sought after. Their Sophmore RB brother is supposed to be the cream of the crop however.

"Coach Dantonio is supposed to call us tonight or tommorrow," said Mitchell about a possible offer, "but if he doesn't, we understand, after all he is trying to prepare for the #1 team in the nation."
|
I'd love to get these kids. Both are crazy quick and athletic. Mitchell attended the PSU QB camp and got a lot of attention. Both are also track stars and have the motor of their dad, who was a track star at MSU years back.

It would have been interesting to see how highly Ringer would have been rated if he hadn't hurt his knee. I can understand why he was considered "risky" compared to Grady (not that I know his injury history).

No, he wreaks havoc on every play.

Do you have any other information about either of these kids? Rivals and Scout basically have nothing.

Check out latest story on Hondo's site. A bit confrontational about spartanmag.com claims that Guy does not have an offer.

What's Hondo doing in DC all the time? They have a really good donut shop or something?

Just finished watching the video interview between Dion Guy and Hondo, and I have to admit that that was one of the most uncomfortable interviews I have ever seen conducted. Something just doesn't feel right and some of the responses by Dion and his father have me questioning if he truly does have a solid offer from MSU or just the promise of an offer if Dantonio does not get other more sought after prospects.
I am not saying the kid is lying, it just appears he is only telling a half truth. In Hondo's desire to out-scoop other recruiting websites he may be taking some liberties that could prove to damning to his reputation.

I think a lot of it has to deal with the fact that they could both be good players (Not 4 stars) but their brother (Sophomore) is supposed to be fantastic.
They didn't get a lot of attention last year because even though they had a great season, they got destroyed by Canton in the 1st rd of the playoffs, so most people didn't remember them. This year they're 9-0 and getting a lot of attention.
The part that I dont understand though is Rivals has Myles at a 2 star, no mention of his brother. Scout has Mitchell at a 1 star, no mention of his brother. So They probably haven't looked at this kid much - but if Enos is driving down to take a look at them, I have to imagine they're pretty close to an offer.

With all these ultra-fast players we're getting, we might want to start making some CBs

big ten smash mouth with SEC speed... i like the way that could blend
its weird though how we passed on the uber athletic QB Marquise Gray. Opting instead to pursue these unknown kids. I have a feeling the staff is more interested in their stud RB little brother and think if they can get the twins to commit it will help them land the stud RB in a few years.
