That is ridiculous. He was going to USC. I don't know why he dragged it out. He wanted to play offense and that was SC's plan.

MSU needs to land Nick Perry and one of the RB's, Gray or Ingram. Callahan is done so Gray will re-open his recruitment.

Stevens > Perry > Gray > Ingram
In terms of importance...IMO.

Why does that not work here? They have lost to BG and now NDSU and kids want to go there?

When a team is 1-6, that is a huge sign that the current players aren't very good and that spots will be open right away. When a team is 5-3, not so much.

If we land 2 out of those 4 I'd be ecstatic.

Uh, this has not worked for us in the past and we have 3 B-10 wins the last 2 years.

MSU should have been pulling in 4-stars left and right the last few years if this approach always works.

Even teams with bad records are going to land good players. MSU has had bad records for years and still got a few 3 and 4 star kids coming in.

Perry to me is #1. A DE/OLB who can get after the QB is the most valuable.
1. Perry
2. Ingram Jr.
3. Jonas Gray
4. Stevens
I know he is a Center and MSU needs OL play but MSU will need to have stud RB's for this offense to go. I am not confident enough to say MSU is going to land Caper next year so lets get the back of the future right now.

Then just use Andre A., Leggett, and Jimmerson.
We need OL SOOOOO bad, and Hamani is #1 in the nation at C. I want OL kids, otherwise all the RB's in the world(not name Barry Sanders) are worthless.

Don't forget their loss at Florida Atlantic, either. Don't want to shortchange them.

So there is an article on he front page of Spartanmag.com talking about kids de-committing and MSU benefitting from that...could DJ Woods be looking our way?? I wouldn't mind another good WR in East Lansing.

Much more interested in Doug Rippy who mentions that we've been in touch.

Neither sounded all that interested from their quotes. They didn't mention MSU among the first few schools. It was like they named the schools and then were specifically asked if State had contacted and then they were like yeah, they did.

Media coverage my friend! You know they will televise all of your games if you go play for ND, so hat is a lot of exposure on your. Now granted THEY SUCK but where else can you be on a $ hit program and still get national coveage?
For the love of God can we get a 5 star recruit to commit to MSU? At this point I would take a 5 star kicker or punter

Honestly Jonas helps us with a 5 star. Larry Caper next year will be a 5 star and he early on liked ND but they could get a commitment from Jonas and another 4 star running back. Michigan has added Christian Wilson as an H-Back, McGuffie and then Cox for their running game.
Things are looking very good for Mr. Caper if that is what occurs.

So we went from being his leader (from his mouth) before he verballed to NU to "not getting much of a shot" after he decommits?

He's looking at the rivals list. It has ND and NU is high, everyone else isn't even low

How the hell does ND go from being totally out of it and it being between us and Nebraska...and ND being the favorite? This is stupid. Talk about going from the frying pan into the fryer.

It's bull****. I'll believe it when I see it.
Considering what he's said in the past, I'd say we have a great chance at landing Jonas now.
Hey AA, would you rather have Gray or Caper? Caper's from my old stomping grounds -- good to see another D-I prospect from the Creek.
