Not to be an ass, but kickoff is at 3:30. That would have to be a very fast game.

MSU is looking very good right now for 2009 RB recruit Larry Caper.
Dad likes MSU a lot but I still believe he is Michigan's to lose. He has been to all their camps and they have made him their #1 guy.

The Mag is reporting MSU is about to land a WR recruit from Livonia Stevenson, Myles White.

Which means we'll conveniently wait until he's on campus to tell him he's our corner of the future.

I doubt he's being recruited as a WR. We're not a spread team anymore. we have Fred Smith, Dell and others. Dantonio isnt going to feed this kid BS about being our #1 WR. I would bet they are recruiting him as a DB.
I know the family and if can find anything out I'll pass it along.

Mitchell, 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, is the senior quarterback who has completed 41 of 71 passes for 962 yards and 14 touchdowns and only one interception. Myles, 6-1, 165, is the senior wide receiver/cornerback who has 14 receptions for 452 yards and nine TDs. Austin, 5-11, 180, is the sophomore running back who has carried the ball 93 times for 883 yards and 13 TDs while catching seven passes for 87 yards.

Twin brothers...interesting. Both pretty much identical in size. Their younger brother is a bit shorter, but heavier! haha.
I will take a fast kid that obviously likes.
Welcome to Myles.

The White twins also have a younger brother who is the RB at Livonia Stevenson and is supposed to be the best of the bunch. Hopefully, having both older brothers green will give MSU the inside track on his recruitment.

I have heard that the little brother could be very very good.
Maybe Myles can return punts, I would be happy giving a scholly to a guy who would only be a PR.

4.71 is pretty good time for a Sophmore, I believe.

Returning punts will be good. Terry Love sucks at it. If we convert him into a DB i hope he transitions better than TJ Williams. Anyway you look at it we need enough DB to have a nickel and dime package for defense. So far, everyone has brought in he has personally seen play, at least on tape and most, if not all, have been through a camp. Just keep in mind not everyone we bring in will play.

I was wrong on the DB part, I guess he is being recruited as a WR, anyway here is the free SpartanMag article
Quote:
Mark Dantonio has made the Spartan Camp a key evaluation tool for determining which players his staff is going to actively recruit. Earlier this summer Myles White of Livonia opened the eyes of the Michigan State staff with a strong performance. His impressive senior year recently got him a scholarship, and now he is set to join the Green and White.
White has legit 4.4 speed and good hands
SpartanMag.com has learned that the 6-foot-1, 165-pound White is all set to become the next member to join the Michigan State recruiting class of 2008. Coach Dantonio has made the recruitment of in-state players a top priority for this year and White is a player the Spartans have been closely evaluating for months.
We spoke with White and he gave us some details about his recruitment.
"I have been speaking with Michigan State for a while now," White said. "They usually call me right before every game they play. I have spoken with Coach Enos a lot. Coach Dantonio called me on Tuesday and told me they have an offer for me."
So how did White react to the Spartans scholarship offer?
"I was real excited," he said. "I was going to tell the coaches yesterday after the game that I was committing to them, but after the loss I figured I would wait and tell them on Monday when we would have more time to talk. I am going to call them tomorrow and let them know. Michigan State is always where I wanted to go."
White had a good time at the Michigan State vs. Michigan game on Saturday. He was disappointed that his future team could not pull out the victory, but indicated that he likes the direction the program is headed.
"They have been real close. Michigan made a few plays and got the win, but Michigan State is right there."
White is being recruited as a wide receiver by the Spartans and based on his performance this fall, it is no surprise. White has caught 20 passes for over 600-yards and scored 10 touchdowns. His 30+ yards per catch average is testament to his tremendous speed. His performance this fall is one reason why Livonia Stevenson is currently 11-0.
White is one of the fastest football players in Michigan for the class of 2008. He has clocked a 14.3 in the 110 hurdles and 22.2 in the 200-Meters and a 38.9 in the 300 IM hurdles. In addition he has shown his explosiveness with a 22'6 long jump.
At 165-pounds, White still has some filling out to do. He indicated that he thinks he will probably red-shirt so he can add some quality size to his frame. In addition to wide receiver, White stated the Spartans would like to see him take a shot at returning kicks.
White comes from an athletic family. His father was a former Spartan track athlete and his brother Mitchell currently has a scholarship to run track at Michigan State. The Spartan staff has told Mitchell, who plays quarterback for Stevenson, that they want him to come out for football as a preferred walk-on. The youngest brother, Austin, plays running back for Stevenson High and will be a high level football recruit in his own right.
SpartanMag.com will be getting film of White uploaded in the near future. We also plan on scouting the playoff game this weekend between Livonia Stevenson and Livonia Franklin.

How sweet is his brother already with a track scholarship...so he is in. Dantonio 'asks' him to be a preferred walk-on!! I love it. A good athlete already covered by a scholarship.
