Dantonio's #1 priority SEEMS to be speed, which is how Oregon and ASU beat Michigan. Coincidence, or Dantonio looking to exploit any and every weakness he can see in Michigan?

I'd say it has nothing to do with Michigan. This team needs speed and they like them playing fast.
Oregon and ASU beat Michigan because they had an athletic and mobile QB. We're not out recruiting one of those.

Because we're set at QB, Foles and Dixon are two solid QBs

Foles was a stud in Texas High School football, and Dixon led his team in the green and white game EXTREMELY well (Beat Hoyer). Kirk Cousins was above average for Michigan football, not a stud by any means. Talentwise, he's nowhere near Foles, and Dixon is a very good dual threat.

Dixon is not a "very good" dual threat QB. He would need to be a good passer first. His showing in the Green and White game was a complete surprise to many because he's never done anything to earn any acclaim or praise since he's been here. In fact most people were predicting a position change for him (insiders and speculators). Next year we'll likely see 1) Hoyer 2) Foles 3) Dixon/Cousins. Cousins has the better arm than Dixon, but Dixon has the age and maybe strength advantage.
And no. We still aren't trying to find Michigan's weaknesses and build on them. That's a faulty premise for recruiting something that we've been lacking anyway.

Steve Gardiner is a 4 star LB out of OH. Has the grades, decent speed, etc.
Camped at MSU and OSU, likes MSU.
Any clues on why a kid like this has not been offered?

3 star LB according to rivals. He is 6'0 and 205lbs. How did Misch work out this year?

Must be some reason why neither MSU or OSU are interested. He would certainly need to bulk up (6'1/205) however he has good speed (4.45). That's in line with what has been recruiting.

Yeah, the 4 star is Scout. I hear you on the "Misch effect", yet West Virginia and Pitt have each offered.

Maybe it is the "Misch effect" that Mr Mojo cited. A 2 year project, min.

Maybe the kid projects as a safety, and Dantonio isn't looking for anymore Misch type LB projects.

Does anyone know the scoop on this LB from Ohio?
Steve Gardiner Scout Profile (BTW, Scout is free all weekend for premium content)
Scout 4 star (whatever that means) and has great speed...could be bigger. Says he hopes MSU or OSU show interest but already has offers from Pitt, WVU, IU, NW, UC,
