Does he simulcast online? I'm actually very interested in seeing this one. In spite of all of his faults, he's the only media slappy we have that is reaching out to these recruits and pimping our program to them. It seems like u-m has half a dozen of these guys out there. Honestly, I wish Dorsey and Comp had a little more Hondo in them. I like what they do and I respect their integrity, but I think there are times that we are at a disadvantage in the eyes of a 17-year old because there isn't a strong MSU media presence 'interviewing' them.

Having said that though, having a ton of tackles isn't always a sure sign of greatness. He also had only three TFL while Thornhill had nine, Fein had zero sacks while Kaleb had two. I don't necessarily think that Fein would've "dramatically" improved us at MLB. I mean, Kendall Davis-Clarke was one tackle away from leading us, and he is an awful player.
kendal davis is not an awful football player. he's certainly not very good in man to man coverage but he's not awful.

Kaleb played a lot more snaps in a different D. Fein definitely could've improved our lb'er depth.

He usually posts the interviews a day or so after they take place on his website, but they aren't avalible online live.

And I definatly agree about having MSU-biased media members.

Seems like the rest of the bunch are kids who had offers from the likes of Akron, Ohio U, CMU, etc.

I don't care about a player's number of stars, but I think who offers the kid a scholarship -- and who doesn't -- says quite a bit about potential success in the Big 10.
So why would kids with offers from WVA, USC, OSU, PSU flock to MSU? The 7 - 5 record, or the 2nd tier bowl game? This is the same BS as last year. How long will it take to figure out that the 4 & 5 star kids don't start coming until MSU starts beating some of the OSU's, Wisky's or um's?!

Also, you make it seem like the other 14 commits are "MAC talent", and don't have any other offers, which is also BS.

We haven't been recruiting him in months. I wouldn't expect to hear his name any more. He was down to Minnesota and Oregon at last check.

Why NOT MSU

Just how many of those 4 and 5 stars players can get on the field at one time? Second rhetorical question: I wonder what Keith Nichol (4 star) is thinking about his decision to go to Oklahoma? He's playing behind another freshman (Sam Bradford)and OSU has the #8 rated quarterback (Landry Jones) as a verbal for this year's recruiting class. Maybe Keith shoulda gone to State. Nick Perry might very well go to USC, but will he ever get the chance to play?

1) the Nichol thing has been beaten into the ground so you are just a tad late to that party 2) Have you watched USC at all ? They play a lot of freshman.....Ronlad Johnson ring a bell ? He's been on the field quite a bit for them this year.

Yeah.... I have to imagine he's straight up a Saftey prospect. If he was an inch or two taller I'd say we'd have a linebacker.

actually I heard he's being recruited as a linebacker. 6'1" isn't too short. he's about the same height as jones and gordon.

Hmm... sounds good then. He'd be blazing quick as a 4.39 LB. Can someone say ?

Hey, either way, I dont care. I think he'd be an asset in where ever Dantonio uses him.

there's plenty more examples then just nichol. look at barksdale he had to change positions (against his will) just so he could be a back up offensive-linemen. How many players have left the USC's,texas's, and Oklahomas's because they where un-able to step on the field? the answer would be a lot.

I work for DPS and my colleges at Denby say the football players are good students and outstanding character kids. The coach is a tough disciplinarian who makes sure kids go to class and are respectful. I hope he gets an offer and comes to MSU.

Thanks for the memory. Dan Bass was a ferocious LB. If he got you in his sights you were going down end of discussion. Played Canadian ball I believe after graduation.
