Ingram officially offered by scUM
Scout.com: Competition for Mark Ingram Heats Up Big Time
"I just got Alabama and Michigan offers too, so I might take one of them to - I'm not going to visit Michigan officially, I might go up there just on an unofficial visit, but I might go to Alabama."
Hope we stay his leaders and picks us. Go get him coach

It seems DJ Grant's offer to Texas has some sort of catch to it, could be good news.
Also this sleeper recruit's name is coming up now, Jason Semmes from OLSM. He visited Iowa last weekend. Anyone know much about him??? What are his offers and is MSU recruiting him?

I am sure is all over Ingram and he had a great visit here. Hopefully he will feel that way in his gut.

Just curious, who exactly would be offering him right now? I sort of figured that Michigan would not be recruiting much right now seeing as how most of the staff could get let go if a new guy comes in.

I can't read the article, but I don't think Bama has any slots for him at this point and would be surprised if the offer is written. Basically, two backs on the board who as of last update were higher on the board (Chris Jordan and Brandon Bolden).

My favorite recent line from Saban came via an Ingram article I read. In it, Ingram says Saban told him Bama had so few running backs that they were forced to play a walk-on against Auburn, so they really need someone like him. Of course, Bama really has something like 4 4-star backs on scholarship, with three more already committed.
I guess Nick's relationship with the truth is still a bit "troubled".

Well, kinda, but M-live says he's coming
and I just found it confirmed on another site too.
This is really great, I hope he gets along with everyone, I already know that he likes Coach D a bunch. His family has got to be impressed. Wish he would've come last weekend when we were playing at the Breslin!

Already late to the party, pal.
And I wouldn't expect a commit from him right away. I think he will at least visit USC before making up his mind.

I'm sure you will blame Izzo if Perry doesn't commit. "If that guy would have scheduled a home hoops game that weekend, Perry would definitely be in G&W."

I'd like to know why the mods feel its necessary to put all recruiting posts into one thread while there is over 20 threads about UM coaching search.
Football is the biggest sport at MSU (with basketball a close second) and recruting is the lifeblood to the program.
This is serious BS.

PipersFly hates Izzo with a passion, so I wouldn't put it past him.

That's all a program like MSU can ask for at this point. You just want to get the kid on campus and get a home visit. You get your chance to make your pitch.

Don't look at me, man. I didn't merge it.
Seriously..the Nick Perry thing probably does deserve it's own thread. This was also the FIRST thread to be merged into here in over 4 months. So blame everyone else for still posting in here.
