I don't believe the staff has given up on Celek and Duran. Going after Graham may have been more of a experience/development issue, as Celeck and Duran are both true freshmen this year. Celek supposedly was the best TE at the 2006 OSU camp according to Jim Tressel, but the Buckeyes weren't interested in taking a TE.

Thanks for the insight. With MJ and Rigan looking as a TE, we might not be entirely screwed.

Unless he moves to defense, it doesn't make sense to play for RR. The TE position only caught 12 passes this season in that offense.
Also, the #10 TE recruit is also committed to scUM. Given RR's mentality of doing it his way. I just don't see how either of these guys have a role.
They have to be at least looking elsewhere.

Scout is reporting that it is down to MSU and Missouri for the services of DE Youboty.
Dantonio was the position coach at OSU of Youboty's older brother, so he may already have a good relationship with the family.

Doubtful. We're done at WR and DB. Ingram makes us done at RB. Doesnt really have a position.

Putting UM back on the radar will do that.
On the other hand, he'd be unranked by now if he'd committed to MSU in the spring.

For people on Charlie Gantt, let's just say I know a guy who went to school with him and hes NOT the kind of character kid that Dantonio wants for this program. Hes very inconsistent in practice as well. I don't know if he still does to be sure, but in high school he liked a girl named mary jane. He might do other stuff too idk, but seeing this guy would not surprise me, hes a shady character.

It could simply be a depth issue also. Gantt may be doing fine, but who else is there? You have to consider two TE sets, and the need to fill a hole if someone goes down.

Wow arnt you a ****ing genious. Do you think that maybe they were trying to see if there was any way to get him in? Could be possible. The problem is that he may be a couple credits shy for MSU and would have to enroll after the spring semester. Its not that he was never going to get in.
Oh and I think that the staff knows more about this than you. Do you think that if there was no chance to get him accepeted they would have even recruited him in the first place? I dont. Only a ****ing idiot would. You should really start communicating with MD to let him know more about his job. I'm sure he would love to hear more dumb ****ing thoughts like this one.

Detroit Martin Luther King defensive end Nick Perry climbed up from the Rivals250 all the way to the No. 31 spot and earned a 6.0 rating on the Rivals Rating Scale. Nobody in nation had a more dominating season than Perry did on the defensive side of the ball. In 14 games, Perry recorded 147 tackles and had 36 sacks. That number shattered the Michigan state record for sacks by 10.
He also led his team to a perfect 14-0 record and a state championship. The title was not only the first for King High School, but also the first won by a Detroit Public School League program.
Perry has focused his attention down to five schools at this stage. They include Michigan, West Virginia, USC, Michigan State and Miami. He took his first official visit of the process to Michigan State the weekend of Dec. 7, and is set to visit Miami in January.

I'm not the one who thought the staff was dumb enough to recruit a guy that wasnt eligible. Got any more indespensable advice? Maybe like stoves are hot or ice is slippery? I'm having turkey for Christmas, should we cook it? Do I put my socks on before my shoes or after? Please I need your unique ability to provide obvious advice.

Ok i seem to remember many a times that recruits sign, but then don't qualify. See the John L Smith era. John L had a few jucos that signed with us but never qualified and never enrolled. I realize that they thought they might get him by admissions so they took a chance. But seriously theres a website thats part of msu.edu where you can check which of your credits transfer to msu and which don't, so to me it would be pretty obvious for them to know what they just found out, but a few weeks earlier.

Read carefully. I explained this earlier. He was a few credits shy so he wouldnt have been able to enroll early. That is the reason, not his grades. And please never compare jonelle to anything MD does. jonelle would have signed a pig if he thought it was a 2 star WR.

I saw that too. Does it have anything to do with rivals now listing him as an OL? IIRC he was originally listed as a DE.

I've heard (read) that he will get evaluated at both and then a decision will be made. Sounds like he's fast enough for a DE and athletic enough for a OT. Good get by MD.

Anybody else find it ironic that JLS had great TE's but didn't use them? Now we have a great offense for TE's and are bare at the position.
