Remember, last year we thought we had Everson, and he opted out at the last second for Iowa. And, there were some other recruits that wanted to come to MSU, but the coaches did not have an offer for them. I think one was Kaunda Hancock? He was like a S/WR from DCD (I think). He really liked MSU, but we never offered. He would have come I am sure, but I seem to recall Dantonio making some comments after signing day that we were not going to fill up the class just to fill up.

That being said, this year looks a lot better than last year. We are still in on some solid recruits, and we have some solid guys as Plan B and Cs also. We will get to 25, and I think we may need to turn some guys away.

Agreed. I just have a bad feeling.

If you hear anything from U-M's side, let me know. If I had to be honest and go with my head instead of my heart, I'd say we'll probably end up third behind USC and U-M (no particular order there).

Understatement of the century. Not just for this year, but to set the tone on the recruiting trail for years to come. Signing two 4* out of Detroit would be monumental....

Not only that but if Perry were to choose State over the other schools on that list, i think it would give the perception that State is doing things. However it does not look good. He has the 3 more visits and is spending time with other recruits of those schools right now at the Army bowl. Right now there is very little MSU presence.

No Perry on this list

Under Armour All-America High School Football Game Roster

NamePos.HometownHigh schoolNCAA schoolStrengths
Joe Adams ATH Little Rock, Ark. Central Arkansas Christian USC Three-way threat as a wide receiver, cornerback and return specialist with fluid speed and great awareness.
Spencer Adams S Matthews, N.C. Butler undecided The No. 2-rated safety in the ESPN 150 flashes all the tools to be an excellent defender at the next level. He collected over 100 tackles as a junior defensive back.
Dwayne Allen TE Fayetteville, N.C. Terry Sanford Georgia The No. 2-rated tight end in the ESPN 150 may be one of the best all-around blocking and receiving tight ends in this class.
Blake Ayles TE Orange, Calif. Lutheran USC One of the more athletic tight ends in this class, he racked up over 600 yards receiving as junior while leading his team to a 14-1 record and a California state championship.
Brandon Barnes RB/ATH Louisburg, N.C. Bunn N.C. State Another Joe McKnight type and arguably the fastest player in North Carolina. Can do it all -- run, catch, play defense and is an exciting kick returner.
Ricky Barnum OG Lakeland, Fla. Lake Gibson Undeclared Barnum might not be the biggest kid on the field but he plays with more power and physicality than his listed measurables might indicate. Versatile, athletic and sound in technique; Barnum should be a productive offensive lineman at the next level.
Martin Bayless Jr. WR/S Fresno, Texas Hightower Undeclared A long strider with an NFL pedigree. Can make the tough catch and is great at making adjustments to the ball.
John Michael Boswell OT/OG Northport, Ala. Tuscaloosa County Alabama A good line prospect who can knock a defender on his heels. He should only get better during his career at Alabama.
Daquan Bowers DT Bamberg, S.C. Bamberg-Ehrhardt Clemson The No. 1 defensive line prospect has the size, athleticism and explosiveness to excel at defensive end or tackle. He can be a handful for offenses and is one of most disruptive defenders in this class.
Xavier Brewer CB Jacksonville, Fla. Bartram Clemson Natural playmaker, always around the ball and can be also be explosive on offensel. Great ball skills and instincts to make plays in coverage.
Mark Buchanan OT Austin, Texas Stephen F. Austin Texas Buchanan is an athletic big man with great feet and balance. He is a well-rounded, fundamentally sound tackle prospect who should blossom at the next level as his body continues to physically develop.
Ramon Buchanan LB Melbourne, Fla. Palm Bay Miami Could be one of the most underrated defensive players in the state of Florida and maybe the country. Although on the smaller side for an outside linebacker, he possesses great speed and is a fierce hitter.
Jermie Calhoun RB Van, Texas Van Oklahoma The total package at running back, much like Marc Tyler a year ago. Routinely faces 10- and 11-man fronts. Offense at Van is going to the spread, which should lead to a huge senior season.
Blake Cantu WR Southlake, Texas Carroll Oregon The ultimate do-it-all, catch-it-all possession receiver with great hands and sharp route-running skills. He reminds us of the great BYU receivers in the early 1990s. Not the fastest or quickest, but he is productive and a great competitor.
Nigel Carr LB Jacksonville, Fla. First Coast Florida State The No. 1 OLB is a rare athlete with the versatility to line up at defensive end or outside linebacker and still dominate his competition.
Allen Carroll OG Oakland, Calif. McClymonds undecided A high school tackle with the size and ability to be a fine college guard. A big kid with the strength to push defenders around, he plays with a lot energy.
Braxston Cave OC Granger, Ind. Penn Notre Dame The No. 1 center is a good-sized prospect who can create running lanes and protect the passer. He brings valuable experience at the center position.
Taylor Cook QB Eagle Lake, Texas Rice Miami (FL) A true diamond in the rough, he is a dark horse to surprise in this game and the next level. Great size, arm strength, tools and athleticism, though still very raw.
Keanon Cooper LB Dallas, Texas Skyline undecided Plays just about every defensive position at Skyline and excels at all of them. He is projected to play outside linebacker in college and is an explosive athlete with great upside.
Nick Crissman QB Huntington Beach, Calif. Edison UCLA Quick, compact release and extremely accurate. Underrated, talented passer who had a huge junior year and will receive significant exposure during his senior campaign.
Curtis Cunningham DT Littleton, Colo. Columbine Colorado Tough, explosive and should be disruptive at the next level as he continues to physically develop. Plays the game fast and with a good motor.
De'Anthony Curtis RB Camden, Ark. Fairview Arkansas Talented prospect who is falling a bit under the national radar. He blends high-carry, workhorse qualities with home-run ability in the open field; rare combination should result in a great college career.
Rodrick Davis DT Houston Eisenhower Texas A&M A versatile, explosive big man who can cause havoc on the offense's side of the ball. He is a well-rounded prospect who is productive on the field and in the classroom.
Aundre Dean RB Katy, Texas Katy UCLA A workhorse with great leg drive and the ability to run inside and outside. UCLA got a good one from Texas.
Vaughn Dotsy OG Ventura, Calif. Saint Bonaventure undecided A mammoth guard who will surprise you with his ability to move. Possesses a great feel for zone blocking.
Anthony Dye CB Corona, Calif. Santiago UCLA Dye is a versatile, aggressive cornerback with great closing and recovery speed. Covers the field as well as any defensive back prospect in this class and plays the game fast and physical on every snap.
Jewhan Edwards DT Philadelphia Roman Catholic Minnesota Edwards is a massive, run stopping defensive lineman. He can be very disruptive and cause headaches in opponent backfields with his great explosiveness and penetration off the line of scrimmage.
Tyler Edwards TE Monroe, La. Ouachita Christian undecided One of the best blocking tight ends in this class while also showing great hands and concentration in traffic. One of the top prospects out of the state of Louisiana.
Andre Ellington RB Moncks Corner, S.C. Berkeley Clemson This year's version of C.J. Spiller, only no one knows it yet. A big play waiting to happen with great speed.
Dee Finley S Auburn, Ala. Auburn Florida There are not many physical flaws in his game. The No. 1 safety and top-10 prospect can cover, close and hit.
Daniel Franklin LB Clarkesville, Ga. Habersham Central Oklahoma The top linebacker in the state of Georgia for 2008, he possesses exciting upside as a defensive prospect and is a great blend of size, speed and toughness at the position.
Mike Glennon QB Westfield, Va. Westfield N.C. State Possibly the best pure pocket passer this class has to offer. In the right scheme, he can sit and pick defenses apart. Huge pick-up for NC State.
Mike Goodman OT Miami Columbus Boston College Goodman is still relatively new to football and a little raw, but he shows a great feel for the game and has excellent upside. He is hard-nosed, physical and should give opposing defensive ends all they can handle down in Orlando.
D.J. Grant WR Austin, Texas LBJ Texas Little-known gem who could explode at the next level. He's the complete wide receiver with big-catch, big-play ability.
A.J. Green WR Ridgeville, S.C. Summerville Georgia Once he adds bulk and strength, this top-five overall prospect could get even better. He's fast, tall, very smooth and fluid.
DeSean Hales ATH Spring, Texas Klein Oak Texas An absolute blazer as an all-purpose back and return specialist. Is fantastic in space and a home-run threat at the second level.
Braden Hanson QB Charlotte, N.C. Charlotte Latin North Carolina Tall, polished left-hander with huge upside. Very precise, accurate and mechanically sound. Needs to bulk up significantl, but should develop nicely.
Templeton Hardy DT Como, Miss. North Panola Mississippi State Has one of the best get-offs in this class. He plays with a high motor, is productive and can make plays in the backfield.
Jamie Harper RB Jacksonville, Fla. Trinity Christian Academy undecided Plays at a small school but has big-time ability. As far as big backs go, he is a human highlight reel and the most difficult back to tackle in the class.
Jerrell Harris OLB Gadsden, Ala. Gadsden undecided A tall, rangy versatile defensive prospect. He could project at the college level as an outside linebacker or defensive end and has an impressive build and nice upside.
Brandon Harris CB Miami, Fla. Booker T. Washington undecided Explosive feet and change-of-direction skills to be a shutdown, cover corner. Is great in run support, plus he doubles as a wide out.
Antoine Hicks QB/ATH Arlington, Texas Timberview Texas Going to be a better receiver than John Chiles (2007 Texas signee) would have been. Very sudden and quick for a player of his size. Underrated, both as an athlete and football player.
Will Hill QB/ATH West Orange, N.J. Saint Peter's Florida 2008's version of Joe McKnight, only Hill plays QB in high school. He can do it all and be an impact guy at multiple positions.
Khaled Holmes OG Santa Ana, Calif. Mater Dei USC Coming from a football family, the big man has good size, ability and versatility. He could be a good fit at tackle or guard in college.
Jarvis Humphrey DT Cedar Hill, Texas Cedar Hill Texas A big versatile lineman who is very explosive off the ball. He is active, tough to keep blocked and has the tools to be a playmaker in the trenches.
Omar Hunter DT Buford, Ga. Buford Notre Dame A compact and powerful defender in the trenches. He is a tough player to move off the ball and is explosive enough to get into the backfield and cause problems.
Josh Jarboe WR Ellenwood, Ga. Cedar Grove undecided Raw, but upside is awesome, and he can really run for a bigger wide receiver. He is very strong after the catch and difficult to handle one-on-one.
Janoris Jenkins CB Pahokee, Fla. Pahokee Florida Jenkins possesses the smooth hips and quick footwork highly sought after in top cornerback prospects. He flashes the skills and recovery speed to be a potential cover corner at the next level -- best football is ahead of him.
Aldarius Johnson WR Miami, Fla. Northwestern Miami Another big, physical playmaker with huge red zone potential. A standout on a team of great athletes.
Ben Jones OC Centreville, Ala. Bibb County Georgia Versatile and tenacious, he is a tough and productive run blocker who gets into defenders and creates push. Lesser-known name who could open some eyes throughout the all-star week.
Julio Jones WR Foley, Ala. Foley undecided Most dominant wide receiver we have seen in a long time and arguably the best player in the country -- we certainly think so.
Landry Jones QB Artesia, N.M. Artesia Oklahoma Most highly-publicized recruit to come out of New Mexico maybe ever. Will play on our ESPNU this season against rival Clovis and is also an Elite 11 participant.
Uona Kaveinga ILB Lawndale, Calif. Leuzinger UCLA Kaveinga is one of the hardest hitters in the 2008 class -- period. He plays the game fast and physical from his linebacker position and consistently attacks downhill with excellent closing speed.
T.J. Lawrence ATH Lakeland, Fla. Kathleen undecided A pure jack of all trades as a three-way threat. Could play on either side of the ball at the next level and is an excellent return specialist.
Neiko Lipscomb CB Tucker, Ga. Tucker undecided Rangy, tall cornerback/wide receiver hybrid. Has long arms and can match up out wide.
Jeff Locke K/P Glendale, Az. Mountain Ridge UCLA Can handle all three kicking duties and kicks PATs and FGs off the ground, which is rare at this stage. Lefty with big hang time on punts.
Tyler Love OT Birmingham, Ala. Mountain Brook Alabama The No. 1 offensive lineman combines a tall frame with good athleticism and a tenacious style. He opens running lanes, can block in space and protect the quarterback's blind side.
Jon Major LB Parker, Colo. Ponderosa Colorado The best overall prospect in the state of Colorado for 2008. The 6-foot-3, 232-pound linebacker is a great blend of speed and physicality -- will graduate high school at 17-years old.
E.J. Manuel QB Virginia Beach, Va. Bayside Florida State Tremendous athleticism, but he's a passer first, which make him dangerous. Will push for the No. 1-ranked QB spot in the 2008 class this fall. Smart, great character and his ceiling for development is sky high.
Michael Matt FB Jeanette, Pa. Jeanette undecided Fullback, H-back, linebacker, kicking game demon and the ability to long snap to boot. Coming off knee injury in junior year.
Antoine McClain OT Anniston, Ala. Anniston undecided Offensive tackle who carries his weight well for a 300-pounder and plays with a motor. He can push a defender off the ball and has good active feet for a big man.
Brandon Moore TE Trotwood, Ohio Trotwood-Madison Michigan At 6-foot-6 and 243-pounds, he is still one of the more athletic tight ends in the country. Flashes his power forward basketball skills on the gridiron and might possess more upside than any other tight end in this class.
Matt Meyer OT Stockton, Calif. Lincoln USC A tall, lean tackle prospect with wonderful upside. He gets into defenders and can push them around. He runs well, get into space and block second level defenders.
Dann O'Neill OT Grand Haven, Mich. Grand Haven Michigan An all-state wrestler who displays his flexibility and skill on the football field. He is a big, physical tackle who is not only a tough run blocker but is also a good pass blocker.
Kenneth Page OG Columbia, S.C. A.C. Flora undecided An athletic offensive lineman with excellent upside in college. He smothers opponents in the run game.
Kyle Parker QB Jacksonville, Fla. Bartrum Trail Clemson Might not possess great size but has a lightning-quick, compact release and is extremely athletic. Has a knack for making the big play and moving the chains.
Terrance Parks CB Fairborn, Ga. Creekside Florida State Big, physical cornerback/safety hybrid with great ball skills. Ideal in press situations. Tons of attention will be placed on him now that Eric Berry has moved on to Tennessee.
Zebrie Sanders OT Clayton, Ohio Northmont undecided Sanders is a physically impressive offensive tackle with the tools to match. He possesses great upside when projecting for the college level; should develop into a well-balanced run and pass blocker.
Burton Scott WR/ATH Prichard, Ala. Vigor Alabama High School QB who will end up at cornerback or wide receiver. Will play corner in the AA game and is a dangerous return man. Very explosive, sudden and fast.
Jamoris Slaughter S Stone Mountain, Ga. Tucker Notre Dame Will join current high school teammate and defensive back Neiko Lipscomb in the game. He is a rare athlete who blends the coverage skills of a corner with the physicality of a strong safety.
Sean Spence LB Miami, Fla. Northwestern Miami Will join fellow Miami Northwestern teammate Aldarius Johnson in the game. He plays harder and faster than his listed measurables, racking up an amazing 151 tackles as a junior.
Kye Staley RB Guthrie, Okla. Guthrie Oklahoma State Just watch the tape and you'll see this guy is a versatile player used in the same manner as Darren McFadden at Arkansas when under center. Being recruited as a running back and safety. Under the radar guy.
Matt Stankiewitch OC/OG Schuylkill Haven, Pa. Blue Mountain Penn State A blue-collar lineman with good feet who will likely slide down from tackle to either center or guard in college.
Darryl Stonum WR Stafford, Texas Dulles Michigan Tall, lanky speedster out wide with quick hands and the ability to stretch the field.
Caleb Sturgis K St. Augustine, Fla. St. Augustine Florida Strong-legged kicker who is under the radar. Huge potential in terms of long field goal range. Leg strength will help with college kickoff rule change.
Andrew Sweat LB Washington, Pa. Trinity Ohio State One best inside linebackers and overall defensive prospects in the state of Pennsylvania for 2008. Plays the game with an intense motor and possesses the strength to stuff the inside run and speed to chase sideline to sideline.
Carlton Thomas RB Frostproof, Fla. Frostproof Georgia Barry Sanders type moves with great speed and toughness -- and he's durable.
Chase Thomas DE Atlanta, Ga. Walton undecided A high-motor kid with a knack for making plays. He may need to add weight, but he is physical and tough against the run. Also an active pass rusher who can use his arms to work moves to get by blockers.
Brandon Thompson DT Thomasville, Ga. Thomasville undecided Thompson is capable of being an animal in the trenches. He displays the ability to be a disruptive presence at any given time and is one most explosive defensive tackles in this class.
Chris Tolliver WR Rayville, La. Rayville LSU Tolliver is a playmaker with great acceleration and vertical speed at his receiver position. He is an excellent route runner with exceptional hands; very difficult one-on-one matchup for opposing defensive backs.
Max Tuioti-Mariner OG Corona, Calif. Corona Colorado A tough-nosed lineman who plays with a nasty streak. A knee injury will force him to miss his senior season, but he is eyeing a return to the field for this game.
Courtney Upshaw DE Eufaula, Ala. Eufaula Alabama He may be short on experience, but he is long on ability. He has an amazing feel for the game and always seems to be around the ball.
Deion Walker WR Christchurch, Va. Christchurch undecided Tall, smooth and fast. All-state on both sides of the ball as a junior. Will rise to the occasion against better competition. Great worker.
Tyler Westphal DE Menasha, Wisc. Menasha Wisconsin Possesses a great frame which can develop him into a monster of a defensive end. A coach's son, he displays a good feel for the game. One of the most technically sound pass rushers in this class.
Charles Whitlock ATH Chester, S.C. Chester South Carolina The South Carolina version of Burton Scott. Plays QB but will be a cornerback and return specialist at the next level.
Carson Wiggs K Grand Prairie, Texas South Grand Prairie High School

Purdue It is difficult to find a legit three-way threat in the kicking game like Wiggs. He not only possesses great size and leg strength; he is fundamentally sound and a solid technician.
Darius Willis RB Indianapolis Franklin Central Indiana Willis is a strong and determined in-line back with all the physical tools to succeed at the next level. He is a fine blend of size, speed and power as a runner and a late bloomer whose best days are still ahead of him.
Christian Wilson LB McKees Rocks, Pa. Montour Michigan One of the more productive two-way players in the class. Projected as a defensive player in college, he combines great size and athleticism.
E.J. Woods S Culver City, Calif.
