Are we in on any more OL prospects? I looked through Rivals database and I don't really see any names I recognize of the prospects who haven't already commited to other schools.

We will not be taking 9 more commits. In his end of the year press conference yesterday Dantonio said that we will be taking 6-8 more. That would be 22-24 total.

I really thought Zach Hueter would end up here. I guess not. I personally think they need either 2 trees (6'7"+) or a tree and a center. Not sure if Chris McDonald is really a OG prospect.

The week following January 11th should be a fun one. I'm guessing we'll probably get 3-5 more commits that week alone. Dantonio said we're bringing in 25 so we have 9 more spots to go, with one of those spots definitely being held for Perry's late decision and I wouldn't be surprised if another was held for Winston to quality.
i must have missed something....who is this JUCO linebacker you speak of?

This guy seems a bit slow for a LB. His forty times at a recent workout were in the 4.7 - 4.8 range.

According to Spartanmag, sounds like the DeAndre Jones visit scheduled for this weekend is unlikely to occur. Distance appears to be the factor working against MSU.

[
Losing Ingram would be a huge momentum killer in the recruiting world for us. A Michigan kid, an MSU legacy, and 4 Star recruit, we need to get him. He would beat out Anderson, Jimmerson, & Ray as a soph. for our starting job.
...and you've seen Ingram play how many times? Anderson? Ray?

That's because people haven't factored in all our "silent verbals."

Dantonio said we have 16 guys so far. They're all accounted for on the Mag

When I read the transcript it seemed like contradicted himself. He said there were 16 commitments and they wanted 6-8 more which would give them 22-24. Then at another point he said they were planning on full class of 25.

I think that everybody needs to take a deep breath and chill regarding LB recruiting. I think we get Winston & Hill. Jahmir Williams will be better than expected, and not to mention, there are "magenta" recruits coming in this weekend that are likely LBs as well.

TE is a bigger concern in my opinion.

Agree. Have to like our chances with Winston & Hill, then you've got Lucas visiting later this month.

Also rumored is a surprise visit this weekend. No one knows who it might be or what position the guy plays. Just keeps your eyes open this weekend for a nice surprise.

PS. Please no speculation about who it might be as it could damage the chances of it happening.

I think you GROSSLY overstate the importance of tRCMB on recruiting.
