If Burrell wanted to play QB, I mean, REALLY wanted to play QB, then the staff would give him a shot. We toyed with the idea of a QB with Dysert, so why not?
I agree, if he REALLY wants a shot at QB then I think he should get one. It's not like he played his entire HS career at one position and just now wants to play QB, he played QB his senior year so he's got some experience. If he wants to give QB a shot then the staff should give him a small chunk of the playbook and see how he does.

Big M what is your opinion on Fitzgerald??

Someone posted a little while back on the Underground Bunker that he was recruiting for U of M at the Army All American game and said that he pretty much just wanted free visits.

I don't see why you wouldn't go someplace warm for an official visit but how worried are you losing him??

I hadn't heard that about recruiting for UM.

I'm kind of worried, but probably more worried he chooses Rutgers since it is the home state school.

Yeah, that seems a bit odd to try and keep it a secret when the other school already knows.

Seems 3rd-grade-ish at that point to try and keep it a "secret".

I understand trying to keep it hush hush before the visit. But once the dudes on campus? Who ****ing cares.

Exactly.

I understand keeping it under wraps until they get on campus, because they might be hearing from the "other" school about making the visit.

But once they are on campus, not sure what the big deal is.

Welllll.....maybe if they don't reveal names more people will keep clicking on the site to see if they've released the names.

Just a thought

From the Michigan Scout boards: the Mods. about new targets for the recruiting class.

Other Possible new QB recruits:
-- Run-pass QB Star Jackson (6-1, 195, 4.5) from Lake Worth, Fla (ALA commit, former WVA recruit).
-- Run-pass QB Dominic Britt (6-5, 195, 4.65) from Trottwood-Madison, Ohio.
-- Run-pass QB D.J. Daniels (6-1, 195, 4.5) from Tallahassee
-- Run-pass QB Charles Burrell from Det. Southeastern.

Possible new LB recruits:
-- LB Taylor Hill (6-2, 205) from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, Ohio ... WVA commit, he reportedly has a U-M offer at this point. He is visiting MSU this weekend.
-- LB Lerentee McRay (6-2, 200, 4.5) from Dunnellon, Fla. He's visiting FSU this weekend and Fla. next, and has already visited Tennessee ... he reportedly has a U-M offer now.

It seems we could lose the chance of getting Hill as he did really like WVU and was committed there. If Michigan loses a LB commit, look for him to visit U of M. They feel that JB Fitzgerald who is at MSU this weekend will NOT be decommitting but that Christian Wilson most likely will.

Is that premium info? Ahh whatever, beaver sucks.

Anyways, interesting about Hill. I had wondered if RR would try and get him to Michigan.

Feeling the same way on Wilson..seems like someone likely to jump.

the southeastern coach has been quoted saying that and crew would be to not give him a try at quarterback in spring ball
