Orange = similar, but supposed to come from Coach or player(reliable rumor)

Yeah I agree with you on that. Once you set up shop in your own backyard, then start looking outward at the recruiting hotbeds like Texas, Florida, and Cali. I think this coaching staff really understands how to set up a program.

The Spartanmag staff has been really high on Winston all year.
IMHO - this is a very solid pick-up. He has good size and good speed for a LB, likely OLB.

I really like the upside Winston has. Right now hes very raw for LB and has a lot to learn. He has all the measureables you look for to be a good one tho. I really hope we can get Hill to commit to us too!

Exactly.
I understand keeping it under wraps until they get on campus, because they might be hearing from the "other" school about making the visit.
But once they are on campus, not sure what the big deal is.

I think that the only other non-surprise committ would be Taylor Hill. Don't get me wrong though, he would be an amazing get for MD & co., one of the class gems.

4.4 is 'good' for a LB? Wow, what would be 'great', 4.3?
Just messing with ya, I know what you meant. But that's great speed at the LB position, if he stays there. Kid has a ton of athleticism and potential, will be a fun one to watch develop.

I'd love to fill this class with LB's.

I should also say that I am confident, based on what I've read, that Burrell and Smith are solid with State...I am not sure on Ray (I have not read as much on him). But both Burrell and Smith have been actively recruiting for MSU. Both have been cornerstones to this class and KNOW it.
