We'll just slow play him. It always works on big recruits - just see Barksdale and Rojo and many others.

What's the big deal? I know it's close to commitment day but 3 weeks is a lot of time to pull a great haul together. It's not like Dantonio doesn't any anymore recruits left on his board. He will still get a good haul.

If scout is wrong about this, what kind of credibility would they be left with? Absolute Zero?

Well that is good news.
I am not trying to be optimistic or naive, but if he did commit to U of M right after the visit this weekend, is it possible that he found out he may not be needed based on what happened with other recruits? It just seems so odd that he would do this so soon after the visit.

Not a big fan of Scout but even if they were wrong it wouldn't be the first time a recruiting site got a commitment wrong or jumped the gun. People will still pay for that service. I don't because I depend on this board for recruiting news.

I know more about sports than 90% of this board. I also actually played sports as opposed to most the IT geeks on here who were in the marching band. You can learn alot from my posts

How can a recruit never set foot on campus and verbal. I know it probably has happened somewhere many times before but it seems totally nuts.

Paul K on SpartanMag saying that we did not offer Hill. Apparently our coached thought that he wasn't athletic enouigh to play OLB. Smells like spin to me.
WTF???

possible, but I doubt it. Um has pulled this before. Same scenario and may be same result. Hopefully, this is not the case this time. Still waiting on a credible confirmation.

I don't buy it. We're scratching and clawing for LB recruits so we invite a guy on an official and don't offer? Bull****. Kid had his offer before making the visit.

What would have happened on the visit that made the staff decide he wasn't athletic enough? Do they put them through drills? I didn't think they did stuff like that on visits, I thought it was more showing the recruit around campus, showing them the facilities, etc.
This seems like a decision that would have been made after watching film on the kid, not sure I buy it.

Now, THAT is interesting and could explain the quick commit to UM...an, holy crap, I gotta pick now commit.
If so, I trust . Who knows what else he has up his sleeve.
Still an odd way to look at it........maybe he wanted him to go to UM so we have a better chance at Perry.
Maybe we are over thinking this and should just take a nap...

Correct. That crap about not offering him is BS. We just got bent over the barrel on this one guys. MSU pays for the official visit and he commits to UofM. WTF!!!!!!!!
