Likely Tre Bishop will commit after he gets his grades back as well. So maybe 2 commits out of this weekend so far.

I'm a little bummed about this weekend, actually. There were some nice prospects of position of need and we came out with one solid player, perhaps two is Bishop qualifies.

We need playmakers.

Need a Perry or Inghram to motivate the fanbase or something as the Ozy v kgbmsu battle is starting to wear thin.

That's the part that scares me. Waiting for grades is always risky business.

Honestly the fanbase is starved right now. This board hasn't felt extreme excitement since the Nichol commitment.

Don't the commits usually start coming in around midweek?

They could, but most of the time they start to filter out Sunday night into Monday. Not saying it won't happen, but it's unlikely we get any other commits from this weekend anytime soon.

It's Monday. Give the kids some time to get home think about the weekend, and talk to their parents. We could still get a commitment or two tonight or tomorrow, which would be 3 or 4 of the 7 in this weekend.

I believe 6 or 7 depending on if Fitzgerald was really there. By all accounts he was but it doesn't seem like anyone's talked to him.

Mike Balogun was impressed too.

"That is going to be awesome when everything is finished," Balogun stated. "They said everything will be done in June. The stadium was one of the best I have seen. The weight room, the academics, the player's lounge, everything is going to be first class. Pretty much everything went above my expectations. I am pumped about Michigan State."
That would be a good pick up for a middle linebacker. He's going to decide after his Oklahoma visit.

Love it how you speak as if you are the rational behind the fanbase.

At least there won't be a long wait. He's supposed to find out next week.

If he was impressed with our facilties, I would guess OU's would make our's look rather quaint. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Too bad that he really didn't seem all that interested in MSU. Makes you wonder if he wasn't up there to recruit Taylor Hill for UofM.

well he seemed pretty into the hockey game when i was talking to him

it's a damn shame too because greg jones was doing one hell of a job selling and msu.

i also saw (to my great delight) one of the visiting recruits enthusiastically singing the fight song. not sure who it is but it seemed like a good sign.

Well we're recruiting him to be a starter and they are recruiting him to provide quality depth. It all depends on what is important to him with 2 years to play.

This will be the key.

He has three years to play two and he has stated he wants to play - he doesn't want to use that third year.

Both the Jude brothers have nice size. I think they would be nice to add to this program.

If we close the deal on Balogun, the Jude brothers and Bishop (sounds like MD did just that) then that would mean 5 out of 7 for the weekend - with the other two going to UM.
