Both Ingram and Perry loved the attention they were getting. Before the game and durring the lineups, Ingram was out in the Izzone holding the newspaper and everything. I'd be shocked if we didn't get him. Last visit he didn't talk much except to Dantonio, now he was out with the students and enjoying himself. Based on all the visits he's taken here and time he's spent on campus, I bet he's pretty comfortable. He was also pointing out all of the signs people made for Perry to Perry. Perry didn't seem to be enjoying his time quite as much, but this is the first time I've paid attention to him at a game-visit, so that could just be his personality. Not so sure about that one, but Ingram I'd bet on.
Also, all the players went to tour the new locker room in the second half it looked like. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when was talking about how much the University is willing to do for you and how much you can accomplish there.

False. We chanted for both and had signs for both.

from that article which was very promising (although he still has two visits to go,),and the other articles, we are his #1. He "Loves the coaches, loves the players, a great, great atmosphere up there" etc.

I was sitting by where the players enter the locker room, and the recruits definitely went down there. When they were coming out I stuck out my hand and got a high five from Nick Perry, and he had a smile on his face. Hopefully he liked what he saw in the locker room.

As far as Perry that is just his personality. Yeah he didn't go out and stand with the Izzone but he was having fun with MD and Greg Jones who came by and sat by him.
He is a hard kid to read. Its not like we could expect a commitment from him. We are getting him on campus, which is big and we were able to focus a lot on those two players.
I am not sure we get Perry but I like the shape we are in for him. Not saying he is a lock or whatever but I think we have just as good of a chance as anyone.

He'd be a huge get -- third behind Perry and Ingram, IMHO -- but I have a feeling he'll end up at Mizzou.

Dorsey is saying that MSU recruit Brynden Trawick is taking a visit to Louisville this weekend. He many not be as solid as we thought. Ron English has his hands in this I bet.

Perry already said he will decide on signing day. I think he was just taking it all in. We have seen in the past where guys who looked like they were having an amazing time committed to another place so lets not jump to conclusions about anything other than the fact that they were both there tonight for a good basketball game.
We are also not guaranteed that a player verbally commits to us and then signs a letter of intent to another place. I do not think i have to reminded everyone about the cedric everson drama
Finally, what i will be very interested in is where some players end up going based on schools already over the allowed scholarships of that year. Correct me if im wrong but i still think that you can only sign up to 25 players at a maximum and some schools will not be able to sign large classes based on scholarship shortages. I only bring this up because looking at Minnesota (who has 25 verbals) and Illinois (who has 26 verbals), they will not be able to sign everyone, especially Illinois at this point, so maybe we can steal one of their guys. Who knows but it was a good sign to see both Ingram and Perry at the game tonight and the fans showing some love towards them both

Dorsey is also reporting that despite rumors, Caulton Ray is still solid.

I am sure Narduzzi is all over this. We cannot get upset over these visits. 17/18 year old verifying he is going where he fits in the best. MSU beat out many other schools and we can overcome Louisville also. Position of need and a great hard hitter. Perfect for us.

What really bothers me about this is that I am convinced MSU passed on some other defensive backs when we got the commitment from Trawick. Same thing we went though with Everson last year, someone else would have got that scholarship.

Exactly. I would hope this kid stays in G&W, as of right now, I would say he's one of our top 5 recruits along with Smith, Hoover, Burrell, and Adams.
I don't know what he's looking for, he would play signifigant time for us next year at safety.

Commits taking unexpected visits right before signing period is kind of the norm now. We need a early signing period.

Also, for those of us excited about the Jacqueis SMith article yesterday....
There is a new article this morning stating that he has now been offered by Texas A&M, and had eerily similar praise for that school as ours. ALso, he said that he was excited about his family having an opportunity to see him play every week.
Ahh, to be an MSU recruiting follower....

Major Applewhite is awesome. One day he will be a ridiculous head coach (my guess is he will be Mack Brown's successor).
