From what I understand:
Coaches can't go to their houses. But they can say "hi" to juniors at their high schools.

Rumor that State got a silent verbal from an instate qb today for 2009. Could be the qb from Midland.

I'm trying to picture just how a silent verbal works.

Is that like he said it but it couldn't be heard?
Or he didn't say anything but it sounded like he did?
Maybe he mouthed a commitment but nothing was audible?

Based on all the visits he's taken here and time he's spent on campus, I bet he's pretty comfortable. He was also pointing out all of the signs people made for Perry to Perry. Perry didn't seem to be enjoying his time quite as much, but this is the first time I've paid attention to him at a game-visit, so that could just be his personality. Not so sure about that one, but Ingram I'd bet on.
I also saw a cheerleader run that way during the t-shirt toss and throw a shirt up into the group with . Never hurts for recruits to see the talent that'll be around campus ladywise.

He was getting attention last April at the Elite 11 Camp as a soph. He would be a very nice start to 09 recruiting.

It could very well be him. I know that the staff was very high on him during the summer/season. It seems he and saginaws Mike Schaaf are going to be qbs #1 and #2, but i heard that Schaaf will focus on bball now that he wont get a Michigan offer with the new offense.

That is the kid they were talking about. One of the Spartanmag staff said that the staff was high on him and another poster, who has some credibility said Maxwell was very high on MSU and could have committed already.

Sounds like a solid prospect, but he is from Midland, therefore I dislike him.

For a 6'8 kid after his soph season(when those numbers were posted) I'd say that is a good job. And he's a QB - he isn't focusing on raw strength, but flexibility.
