So who's all coming up this weekend? I know the OL from FL, but it seems as though other weekends had a lot more prospects.

good to hear, because the school that is re-recruiting them the hardest is UM (led by DickRod). They want Burrell as backup plan if TP goes elsewhere. They just flat out want Smith.........

I'm obviously new to this thread but appreciate everybody's patience. I know this has been a topic of discussion the last few days but I can't get over the fact that we can't get a commit from any of these linebackers. We appear to need several commits who could play right away and it is odd that these guys won't buy into that.

I am not jumping off the roof as I agree with many of you that we have people to fill in and may very well succeed at the linebacker position. However, it is discouraging and not like . Thus, not start a conspiracy theory but I don't think it's grades or qualifying, I think these guys are being told something from the staff, not sure what, but the shift in visits and positions by some of these players who seemed very interesting says to me that something is on the horizon. I hope I'm right.

IMHO we land Ingram and Scruggs, no Perry.

What do any of them have to do with each other?

I believe those to be the three most talented prospects we have a shot at landing. And I think we'll get two of them. That is what they have to do with each other.

I misread. For some reason I thought you meant that if we got two of them we wouldn't get the other. I don't think we'll be getting Scruggs though. Most indications are that he's Louisville bound.

AA, are you resigning the fact that we don't get Smith?

Back to Ingram here for a minute. I think there is a good spin and bad on his ASU visit.

Bad:

We already have a plethora of backs, albeit none that have Ingram's potential (excluding Ringer of course). Also, FWIW, according to his Scout page, he now has Tennessee back into the fray, with both Tennesee and ASU listed as "Medium" interest with to the other four ponies that have been in the race.

Good:

Let's not overreact to the visit. We have to remember that each recruit is allotted five official visits, so he may just be taking advantage of it and making sure he fully explores all of his options before making a decision. ASU also already has a four-star RB commit for this class, and they have another four-star RB visiting this weekend with Mark (albeit one that has a soft verbal to UCLA). Also, IF Tennessee is even legitimately back in the fray...Supposedly, some people have been worried because he has this alleged admiration for SEC football. If Fulmer is going after him again, why, then, would he visit ASU over Tennessee if that admiration is that strong?

Maybe all spin. I'm still not all that worried. Whether we are going to land him or not, I don't think this visit is going to contribute either way. If we don't get him, it won't be because he took a final visit to the desert. And of course if we do get him, then cool beans.

From what was written in that BuckeyePlanet thread, we could see a Fred Smith situation: either lets him walk on to the basketball team or if we're really lucky, {jtm} gives him a shot on the drumline. He'd be a fan favorite like we haven't seen since Ishbia!

You can tell all that from a picture? Bodybuilders look good, and I have more athleticism in my pinky than most of them have.

Tyler Hoover has offers from dozens of BCS programs including us,michigan, wisconsin, miami fl, UCLA. His measurable’s improve and he has an extremely productive senior season yet some how he losses a star and drops out of the top 250 after being in it for months.
