The problem is with Hondo's page. The link shows up as a dash, normally.

Coach Dantonio went to visit Greg Scruggs in his school yesterday. Scruggs seemed to have liked him. One part that caught my eye was how Greg Jones graduated from down the street from him. Greg had a great bowl game. Hopefully that little connection will help us!
Scout.com: Visitors and Visits
"I did watch the bowl game, because Greg Jones, he graduated from right down the street from me," he said. Scruggs, who self-reports a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash, added that he enjoyed watching the aggressive pass-rushing scheme deployed by the Spartans in the Champs Sports Bowl, and explained how the play of the D-ends appealed to him. "I liked what I saw."

God, I'm glad I'm not a "journalist". The thot of trying to ask some 18 yr old kid if they have time for an interview on where they're going to college just rubs me the wrong way. Hell, I try to keep my distance from my own kids on where they're going to go. I expect them to come to me, not the other way around.
I don't know how anybody could do that and still maintain some credibilty.

Scruggs could potentially be very, very good.

Agreed. I refuse to even do it, much to the dismay of some of our salivating readers.

Still, I wouldn't trust what a kid throws on facebook when asked by a total stranger.
I have a feeling Dorsey will have info by sometimes Sunday evening.

just read a few articles on Eteyan Edet the LB that were in on. If he doesn't commit to Louisville this weekend I would be shocked. The guy loves everything about Louisville and it's been his dream school since he was younger. Also they just got Ron English as D coord and we all know recruits LOVE that guy. Plus throw in former Duke head coach Ted Roof as new LBs coach, I think the odds are 90% he commits to them this weekend. Too bad we couldn't get a visit last weekend with him to help him give a comparison as I doubt we will ever get a shot now. The guy will be a beast in college football, if he qualifies that is.

Mangenta was a joke, even if it wasn't meant to be. I'm not paying any attention to any color code now, especially pink

Here is a GREAT article on JUCO LB Mike Balogun that we are in on. After reading it I REALLY hope Dantonio can get his commitment. He will be a stud. I really want to see some film on him.
NWAnews.com :: Northwest Arkansas' News Source
Here are a few quotes from the article that really stand out:
"He plays with such a motor,"Duda said. "We have to pull him off of people in practice most of the time because his motor is at such a high level all the time. He never fatigues. He's just one of those guys built to play. He had a couple of teeth chipped out in his mouth in a game and went back in the next play."
"We've been here for 16 years and probably had 20 Division I linebackers. He's the best one,"said Duda, "His combination of strength and speed is unusual. He's a super aggressive guy to the ball. He's really an unbelievable player."
Hopefully his visit to Oklahoma this weekend sucks. We NEED this guy for next year. Go get him coach

Thanks for the link, but I didn't like seeing this:
Quote:
Balogun took an official visit Nov. 11 to Akron, where his cousin is the starting free safety. He plans to visit Michigan State this weekend and Marshall on Jan. 18, but that could change with a phone call from Arkansas linebackers coach Reggie Johnson. Balogun said he expects to hear back from Johnson this weekend.
"I'm waiting to hear back from him on a visit date,"Balogun said. "I'm trying to talk Arkansas in there for a visit. I'm trying to come down there as soon as possible.
"That's been a dream of mine, to play in the SEC. I'm just glad Arkansas gave me a call."
|
FTR, interesting to see he's 24 years old.

Yea i saw that a couple weeks ago, figured for sure we wouldn't get him because of that. But then this week the latest article for him said hes visiting Oklahoma this weekend and that he will decide between us two after the visit. It seems the Arkansas offer fell through I would assume. OU isnt SEC, but is big 12 south enough for him?? Thats why I said hopefully he doesn't like his visit lol

How the hell can it be anybody's dream to play football at Louisville? Bball I can see, but football? Yeah, yeah, they've had more success than us recently, blah blah blah. Come on. It's Louisville. Talk about small time. We don't need this cretin.

Why the hell are we not in touch with Zebrie Sanders? I know there was some discussion about him earlier in the thread, but his situation has deteriorated further. He wanted to commit to Florida, but they had to turn him away due to lack of scholarships. Georgia did likewise. Then just this week, his new leader, Florida State, ALSO filled all of their slots. The kid's a stud OL in a border state with nowhere to go and doesn't even give him a call?

How the **** do you know we didnt give him a call? Are you on the recruiting staff? The kid wants to go south anyway, he's FSU bound after this weekend. Which helps us with Rhonne Sanderson.

Because he had a large list of schools that have been in touch and MSU wasn't among them.

I think it has something to do with the verbal commitments to Iowa.
