So true. And anyone who's had "normal" kids knows that any answer a kid gives is going to oscillate at least 50,000 times before they make their final decision, which will usually be 1) at the last possible moment, 2) probably due to some imagined boyfriend or girlfriend the parent knows nothing about, and 3) otherwise completely random when compared to stated objectives.

BTW, the sample named "normal" excludes those kids and helicopter parents who've had their kids fast-tracked to MIT since third grade. So don't flame me with stories of your uber-kinder.

In case you didn't notice, Kentucky and Louisville are now officially football schools and no longer play basketball.

"I did watch the bowl game, because Greg Jones, he graduated from right down the street from me," he said. Scruggs, who self-reports a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash, added that he enjoyed watching the aggressive pass-rushing scheme deployed by the Spartans in the Champs Sports Bowl, and explained how the play of the D-ends appealed to him. I guess you haven't been around recruiting for very long. paying attention to an athlete's profile on scout or rivals (especially scout) and what that says as to their interesting is EXTREMELY inaccurate and misleading. They do not update those things very often. You got to read all the updates and info from the experts to find out who really is in and out of the race for each recruit.

I'm not searching through the 100some pages to see if this was mentioned, but Hamani Stevens dropped to a 3 star on scout.

Its a good thing he changed his mind about msu.
(Just kidding)

Eliminating the word "sparty's" from your vocab will help a lot towards that free pass.

the last article regarding his commitment to Arkansas was from July. I dont see rivals adding him to MSU's list while not showing a commitment just recently if hes still committed to arkansas.......

This is why Dorsey and Spartan Mag were keeping the "magenta's" a secret.

You're saying Dorsey didn't want MSU recruits to know that Dantonio was looking at some other big name commits?

yep, sure was. I was 100% with them on it too. Other ppl were and didn't understand the importance of keeping it in the dark. I guess we will now be REALLY kept in the dark as info will only be released after the weekend. stupid ****s

My only disagreement was keeping the names secret once they came on campus. That seemed like overkill.

i can see your point, but if UM or whoever else finds out they can still contact them while on campus. They wanted the visit to go uninterrupted, that is why.

MSU has just offered a 2009 WR from Ypsi, Donald Spencer Jr. Watched his highlight film and he seems to be very fast and runs great routes. Also plays corner and seems to be a guy who loves to come up and make the tackle.

New Jaquies Smith article makes me think we still have a chance for him. He didn't rave about his Nebraska visit like he did the Michigan State and also said distance won't be a factor in his decision. He makes no mention of us but based on what he said of other schools I believe we still have a chance.
