Awfully strange that he'd visit a school he's not interested in as many times as he has.

ya in the new state rankings he is listed at 13 (#2 wr behind smith) but below it says qualifying issues hurt his recruitment.

No....It is not being reported until Friday per SpartanMag.
Also, FYI.....Dantonio had his final In-Home visit with Nick Perry tonight, not with Mark Ingram, as was previously expected.

Is he still having an Ingram in home? Also isn't it a little early to have an in-home with Perry? Maybe not though because we need to get out of 4th place for him.

Some thoughts...
1. If Scruggs is a liar, do we really want him?
2. According to Spartan Mag, Gardiner has always dreamed of being a buckeye. If the choice is scholly at MSU vs. paying his way for a year at osu, we might not be in a good position.
3. I find it very hard to characterize this recruiting class as finishing well. How many kids have we gotten verbals from since the bowl game? We need to do something to inject some salesmanship into our recruiting before this time next year. December could not have gone worse for um... they're having a great class, and we're laying a turd.
4. I realize that beggars can't be choosers, but I'm not wild about getting a kid named "Yourhighness." Two reasons: a) what kind of parenting could this kid possibly have? Who would hang a handle like that on their kid? b) the nationwide negative headlines if the kid ever gets busted with drugs.

Good Post. I agree with all your thoughts there, especially #3. Hopefully after Dantonio and his staff see how we missed on all these recruits that they need to start being more aggressive in their recruiting efforts. We got beat on way too many top players we were in on.
Also 2 commitments since the bowl game, Rolf and Winston. Two guys where we were pretty much their only good offers. (Rolf had a possible Oregon but didnt want to leave home).

Wow...talk about a very stupid comment right there. You don't want a kid based on his ****ing name?

I agree you just wonder what kind of parenting this kid has had. A parent who names their child that is a little weird. That being said we should make no judgements on him even if his parents do end up being poor influences. Heck Patrick Willis had some pretty messed up parents and he turned out just fine. I'm sure Dantonio and his staff have looked into his character from coaches and teachers, etc. , especially after they saw his name, so I'm not too worried.

As I said, beggars can't be choosers. At this point, if the kid can play football, I'd take Hitler Stalin Kaczynski.

Doesn't take away from the fact he was good enough to get that Oregon offer.
