In other news, Lucas committed to NC State.

All those guys were good prospects coming in but they had horrible attitudes and spent a lot of time getting disciplined. MD is going after character guys. If we have to settle for 3* players that fill position needs immediately I am ok with that. Whats the point of bringing in 4 *s that rob people or screw up when they get to campus? There has been a lot of hype about Minne's class but I would suspect they are similar to john L's... they took some chances on kids and we have nothing but solid recruits (character-wise)

If you guys are thinking about who I think you're thinking about, I'd forget it right now. I think this is the same situation as RoJo, Bass, etc. Fans get all jacked just because we're still in the final 3-4 teams with a big time recruit and then start freaking out when he goes elsewhere.

Also keep in mind PK tends to hype kids up big time. He lets his enthusiasm get the best of him and forgets that people don't take what he writes with a grain of salt. So 'big time' by his standards could just me a 3-star recruit that he likes.

He played. Was the back-up SS and went out on the field with something like 5 felony chargers pending a hearing

I remember seeing him run out on the field and being embarrassed for MSU when some people asked who he was (and I told them).

Either Rhonne Sanderson or Connor Bradford would be a pleasant surprise since OL is such a big position of need. (Kiddingly, the most amusing one would be Dion Guy after all of the crap Hondo made out of his recruitment.)

That's what I was trying to tell people in the "Hondo breaking news" thread -- a Perry or Ingram commitment isn't something that you A) sit on, or B) keep quiet for long.

It sounds like Sanderson is still holding out for a FSU offer, and will visit UM if he doesn't get it.

So the names keep dropping off the list....

Who is realistically left? Sanderson, Morgan, Ingram, Perry, Gardiner ?

- We were (but I havent heard confirmation) having an in home with Perry last Thursday...either MD or staff, not sure.
- We got an Orange late Sunday with hints that it is Big Big, Huge blah blah...but wants to talk more about it with family and sit it out this week prior to announcing.
- MD has a Perry in home last night which appears to be re-scheduled around the Ingram in home somehow. It is mentioned it was requested to talk with his family.
- We cancel Fleming's visit saying we picked up a recruit and dont have a spot anymore (the Rolf commitment was 4 days prior...why wait 4 days to tell the kid)
- Scruggs mysteriously doesn't show with an illness and immediately commits to L'ville.

All of this can be explained away, but it is fun to storyline it.

That said, It is probably a mystery TE. It is NOT Morgan per the latest article stating he is undecided between us and Fla-Atl.

That is why I would guess it is Gardiner, just makes the most sense given the circumstances. Spartanmag obviously likes to drums up interest with stating a secret "huge" recruit at a position of need has commited and just loves the speculation.

Tool!

P.S.: Go back and delete BillOGoods inane posts and I'll gladly have mine 86'd. You think I open this thread to get the opinions of people like him ... or you?

Yeah, I doubt that. Perry is adamant that he is announcing on Signing Day, and is visiting Miami this weekend.

As I've said before, it's still January, which means hope springs eternal!

It is supposedly not a magenta....so not a currently committed kid.

Yourhighness Morgan is stated as still deciding between MSU and Fla-ATL...however he says he will decide by end of the week. So it is possible he has to talk to his family about how he is de-committing from Fla-Atl and moving to MSU. (it wasnt known until very recently that he secretly committed to fla-atl, so the magenta doesnt count)
