Come on Ingram, we need you! EL is bigger and better than wherever the Hawkeyes play. The girls are hotter.

I'm kind of pissed as well. Would have liked to get him on campus- looks like a good sleeper.

I think that everyone will be just fine as long as we get 1 of Perry & Ingram. It looks like they are trying for at least 1-2 more LBs (Gardiner/Morgan/Both), 1 more OL (Omemdeh, Bradford), and you still have Bishop hanging out there as well. If Ingram does not come to MSU, it would seem to be a pretty big blow to the recruiting abilities of this staff.
It sounds to me like Gardiner to MSU is a done deal...outside of that...who knows....

The list is definitely shrinking, Gods.
So is the size of the class.

I like the fact that guys like Gardiner and Rolf are the backup plans instead of a JC guy like Juarez.

I said that the class would be a home run if we only signed Ingram and Perry (When we were at 17 kids) and signed 19. I guess you could say that scenario is still a possibility, but not a likely one. I just would hate to see us take a step back from last year, after getting the program back to a pretty darn good bowl game.
Honestly, I see us adding Ingram, Gardiner and Bishop (Grades pending). That would put us at 21. I'd be okay with that at this point.

I would too.
I know you're frustrated -- hell, we're all frustrated -- but I'd say at this point, it's still a pretty damn good class. Very solid and balanced, with a ton of speed. Just needs another jewel, you know?

Yea, this class is kind of bland, kind of like mashed potatoes and meat loaf, good thing for you, solid, but not very exciting.
We need some hot sauce to bring some spice to this class.
I just ate a burrito so I'm in a fiery mood. . . Let's put some zip in this class!

Got a real bad feeling on Ingram. Something tells me that if he really was going to be a Spartan, he would have pulled the trigger a LOOOOOOONG time ago. The guy's been up here probably dozens of times and had that many opportunities to commit.
My guess is that he commits to Iowa.

I don't want to overreact and jump to conclusions, but on paper, you're right.
Still, I'd probably rather take balance and substance vs. flash and holes at this point with this program.

Exactly, I have no problem with plain old meat and potatoes class. I'll take the Clydsdales over the Throughbreds at this point.

I disagree that this class does not have any pizzaz. The process the last few weeks has been boring, but that doesn't mean this class is boring or bland by any means. Think of it this way: What if Hoover, Fred Smith, Key Martin, Burrell, and Johnny Adams (arguably the jewels of this class) had still not committed at this point much like Ingram and Perry. Now, lets say within the week before signing day, Smith, Burrell and Hoover chose MSU over UM, Martin chose MSU over Illinois and Adams chose us over WVU and Illinois. Also, lets say that Ingram chose us over Bama, but Perry chose USC. If that was the case, and we ended up with like 22 commits on NSD, I think we would all be hailing this class as exciting and a step up from the recent the past.
The issue is the process has really slowed down, but coach D and his staff already have done a great job (I think). The "problem" is they have been doing it for months, and got some important early commitments.

Bingo! It cracks me up when these bona fide recruiting experts tell us that MSU is "taking a step backwards" with this class and that it proves the staff can't recruit.
Meanwhile the staff that gave last year's class a C, has already indicated they think they already have a better class this year. Gee, who to believe...

Isn't this why we follow recruiting? The drama the excitement of the recruitment of a player that can maybe led us to a BCS title game down the road, always fun!
