My buddy (a coach for a D2 university)ran into Narduzzi who was at Glenville (OH) this past week making contacts with 09 kids. That school is such an amazing pipeline of talent, it would be great to get a few kids in the years to come.

One 09 OL prospect down. He said MSU and Illinois were his favorites, and he committed to Illinois this weekend.

F***. I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick of Illinois.

Also, does anyone know about Omameh? I know that he was considering us, but I didn't know what was coming of it

You're right. Tyler Hoover, for instance.

Omameh said to Scout that he will announce on NSD. Which is kind of ironic, being that he already commited to Cinci...

I think Hueter is Green regardless, and may be more suited to play in our offense than Omameh...Still, it would be nice to get both (Especially since DickRod wants Omameh too).

Hey Gods, do you think the Ingram situation is as as it seems at this point?

When you think about the star system you have to remember that rivals and scout are businesses. The player rankings and commitments generate revenue for the sites therefore they cater to the bigger fan bases. Unfortunately although we have a big school we dont have the bandwaggon fans that ND, scUM, and tOSU has therefore they are going to favor recruits interested and commited to those programs to generate more hype.
I think sometimes we think of rivals as an all knowing unbiased recruiting network and we forget that it is a business and people who work in the network obviously will favor some schools over others. At the end of the day it's nothing to get bent out of shape about... look at the NFL talent production between scUM and us it's definitely not the gap that the recruiting over the past 20 years would suggest.

It could be worse, we could be running the run spread and not have a quarterback to run it.... scUM football meet scUM bball

I thought Hueter was going to Central Michigan?

I just want to hear his take. He obviously pays pretty close attention to the recruiting scene.

Is that a problem for you? Would you like me to ask you as well? What do you think of the Ingram situation, Natron?

Did I miss something? Why are people so down on our chances at Ingram? I know the 'bama staff visited him... anything else? I wouldn't say I'm wildly optimistic, but I haven't seen anything to downgrade our chances in the last few weeks. What gives?

Alrighty, then. Is waiting until signing day really getting it behind him?

I'm sorry, but I would find that a freshman DE would have a hard time starting for us in the fall. Its a pretty big jump to go from playing against players much slower and smaller than you to playing D1 football.

I don't think he will start but he will get a good amount of PT. He's already enrolled and will participate in spring practice, which will be HUGE in helping with that transition.
