He's 6-7. If we can't turn him into a solid OL by Junior year at the very latest, time to find a new OL coach.

Not to sound like too much of a kool aid drinker, but I read somewhere that CMU has put more OL in the league than MSU has over the last few years. Perhaps they something we don't?

Of course, JLS wasn't exactly lighting up draft boards.....

True. I think some of us forget that just because we go after someone doesnt mean he wants to play for us. We should offer every kid the best with his decisions because they are kids choosing their future and some of us forget that these recruits are not robots. You can be upset that a kid doesnt commit to here but wish him the best in his future and getting a college education.

Yeah, his measurables are pretty good. Apparently the squat and bench are good too

Exactly, and last time I checked, was it CMU or MSU that had a 1st Rd Draft pick OL last Year???

IMO-this is a great pick-up, and no, I don't think that this means we are out with Omameh.

I would think that Harper from ELHS will be a Spartan now too, as long as MI decides to go elsewhere.

From what I heard in the chat - he's a Spartan if offered. Someone posted he is fully qualified, but I am not sure.

I've seen the kid play, he is big and fast. I am somewhat surprised he wasn't recruited by more teams - he has all of the attributes.

BTW - this is good news. Welcome Zach!

We have 5 OL recruits this year. OL, more than any other position, are made...if the heart, focus and size are there - coupled with good coaching, then you can make servicible Big Ten o-linemen. Hell, Nebraska did this for decades.

Sorry if this is a repeat but did we hear bad news about Ingram Jr. this weekend? I've been under a rock since Saturday am? Is he announcing early?

So he is a running back then? Or an athlete?

So, who are the potential remaining 2-6 players we take in this class?

Dantonio has mentioned 23, with 25 being the max, up to 27 if you count Hoover and Adams enrolling early.

Word is he wants to play RB, but the staff may see him more as an ATH.

This is what I've read on the chat tonight...nothing more.

But from what I've seen of this kid, he can play. I am not a recruiting "expert" but let's just say he is the reason EL made the run they did this season. That kid carried them.

Patrick Omameh - DE
Nick Perry - DE/LB

After that ????
