MSU insiders think UM is very much in play for Perry. What are you reading Big M?
As far as this Zippy is concerned, there is always and uncle involved isnt there

Maybe your sources can clear this up. Let me ask you this: are you Spartan Pride from Enlightened Spartan? You certainly get a kick out of people thinking you're more in the know about recruiting than you actually are.

17 year old kids say things that are not always true and can overly exaggerate things quite a lot. Sure seems ignorant to ignore the fact that his dad has not been involved in any of the recruiting when it comes to in homes and discussing things over with his mom/grandma.

Weird that others have seen the two working out recently in the Flint area. I'm sure he never asks his dad anything.... just how many reps he has left in his set. But NOT advice on school. Dude, you're a trip.

This staff has worked their asses off with Perry and MI - longer than any of the other schools still in play, but when you compete for super star prospects, relationships are normally not the only thing that matter.
I'd be shocked if both come to MSU.

I am there with you. For me, it has less to do with if this poster is credible or not (which all signs point to not credible) but that as a State fan, too young to be around for any of the glory years, any good news is too good to be true. Maybe it is self loathing, but years of experience have built up my defenses.

I wish my uncles were connected. All the inside information I can give you is what is the best sparkplug these days and the type of filing system your office needs.

way to try to spin things. I never said he never talked to/saw his dad. what a ****ing moron you are. I never said his dad didn't give him advice. actually, his dad told him to go through the whole process and make the best decision for himself. he will not pressure him to go anywhere. it is obvious where his dad would like him to go. for recruiting purposes i.e. the in home visits, the head coaches, and assistant coaches get with each prospect, the mom and grandma have been at everyone. the dad hasn't been at any. while making his final decision this weekend he mentioned he will talk it over with his mom and grandma. didn't mention anything about dad. I am sure he will let his dad know what decision he made. Jr. will go where he wants to go because he is most comfortable/likes it the best at that school. nothing more, nothing less. Just because Jr and Sr work out together sometimes doesn't mean their relationship is just peachy you are definitely a hater with nothing informative to add to any football thread. just a bunch of useless spewing just like banned and kgb

I won't be surprised if ingram picks state, wisky, or iowa. If he picks bama, i will be surprised only because he couldn't see through saban's lies. they have so many great rbs on that roster it is crazy to think MI will get tons of playing time off the bat. Iowa makes sense from a pt standpoint easily. Wisky has been around, but just because they haven't been mentioned much doesn't mean anything. I sure hope he picks state, but I'm not sure which way he will go. Nobody really seems to know.
As far as perry, If he picks someone other than msu/usc I will be surprised. If he wants to get away, picking miami over usc makes no sense as usc is a better program, has better people, and there is a spot for him to earn pt early. I still cannot see UM, but, hey, crazy things happen all the time in recruiting.

All you do is complain. You need a new act.

Your credibility is now gone on this board. You're like Tom Cruise, impossible to suspend disbelief when you know what a psycho he is in real life. BTW are you glad you didn't bet me when i said we would end up 3rd in the Big ten?? Typical of your sports knowledge.

The more you talk the more I am glad I grew up in lead free housing.
He could fill the class quite easily, we have an OL offered, we have the RB out of East Lansing to consider. That leaves one more person. And if Dantonio doesn't, why would we take more players this year that might not pan out for a class in 09 which looks as deep (if not deeper) than 08. Do you suggest he gives one of the last scholarships available to the walk on kicker?
I don't get you. You talk about terrible LB core, even though we have 4 LBs, some very nicely rated and an athlete who might be able to play LB as well. THEN you complain about not filling up the class, when SIMULTANEOUSLY you are complaining about the depth of talent. I hate to break it to you, but there aren't 4 stars falling off of trees. There has to be some people rated lower than others, that's how it works.

I just find it funny when people get all excited at any recruit we land. Over the weekend we landed a OL that was commited to CMU, a DE that we knew we were gonna get, and an undersized LB. Should I jump up and down over this??? Now the 09 LB on the other hand sound great.

Okay, that's fair enough.
I think that people are excited about the LB who came pretty highly rated, and was obviously a priority for this staff since early December. The OL, I think his measurables are good. He is 6' 7" and played basketball, so his footwork is good. I think that he shows promise in becoming a player, however he isn't a stud. I agree with you about the DE. I mean, I have to trust Dantonio's talent evaluation there.
However, I think it's a nice weekend for recruiting. There were still gaps to fill, and we did. I think that alone is good (not overjoying) news, not cause for apathy.

Again I like the recruiting class. I've said it several times on here. My opinion on the LB recruiting is my opinion. I love how riled up people get when they hear an opinion they don't like. Do you people really want to be like Ozy???

It's just that your opinions are about 95% negative.
