Don't all players work with the Strength and Conditioning Coach? So they'll all add some size, tone up, etc. and Gardiner is no exception.

i totally believe that is what he was measured at last year. I never said it was a fact he was 6'2" 220....I only posted what the scout article reported. after that I only said it is possible he could have grown/added weight and it is also possible the article was wrong. how is that arguing? and yes if he is still close to what he was measured last fall, he is undersized.

First of all you have to have the frame for it. Second of all it is not easy to put on bulk and keep your athleticism. Again if it was easy then Herzog would be shaq.

JLS didn't care about character that much, he didnt even have great character players at lville. i don't think he paid much attention to that. he recruited A LOT of guys who had problems. there will always be a few bad apples that turn up. there will be FAR, FAR less under dantonio though. dantonio will also not deal with their problems after a second instance as they will be kicked off the team.

Like who?? I agree alot of his players caused problems while they were at State. Please list the players that had well known problems pre college. You sir are talking out of your ass on this one.

a 6'2 220lb LB would not say something like "I'm not the biggest LB".

This thread would be about 100 pages fewer if the posts where 'The Banned User' and 'kgbmsu' were not either whining about our recruits or making posts like they know more about football talent than the guys getting paid to do it. Post your opinion? Fine. Post your immature garbage like it is fact? Take your arguments to the playground please.
A word of advice, just blow past their posts and ignore (same for Big M). It gets you up to speed quicker and you lose nothing.

You guys make me laugh, you make 6' 0.5" seem like a midget who could never play in the B10.

Some damn fine LB's have been smaller than that. Hell, Ernie Sims was the #1 recruit in the nation and he measured 5'11" at the NFL combine. Sim's measurables were not that far from Gardiners. Spielman measured 6 feet flat in his playing days.

Yes, he needs to put on 15-20 pounds and keep his speed up, but that is well within the realm of possibility.

no one ever gains any muscle mass and therefore weight when they are between the ages of 17 and 30, especially when they dedicate their lives to football.

Frame for it??? What are you talking about. Everyone can improve upon their physique unless of course you're a 7 time Mr. Olympia. No one said Herzog needs to look like Shaq but if you're saying he can't add any weight, mass or become stronger then you've never worked out in your life and you know nothing about the human body. As for keeping their athleticism, that's the job of the Strength Coach. No one said it's easy, yeah it's hard work but it can be done.

What does that have to do with anything we are talking about???? We are talking about size that you have to have to compete in the Big ten. Size you need to shed blockers. Of course you can improve your body, duh. Question who has a better chance to bulk up, a 185 5'9 guy or a 210 pd 6'2 guy???

Well since we are talking about a 6'-6'1", 205lb kid, I'll say he'll be just fine. He can easily hold 30 lbs and be quick!

Alright Jackleg!!! My point was this since you can't seem to get it. It's all about genetics. To compare two people and say who can add more size or mass is just ridiculous. Both have different body structure, so you can't compare. Also I didn't know there were size guidelines required to play in the Big Ten. Since you're all knowing can you provide a breakdown?

Yeah he does the height i agree. However you know as a personal trainer not everybody is able to just bulk up. Mo Ager could not put on any weight at all in college while Neitzel was able to.

LOL!!! So you're saying Misch will stay that size forever and can not add any more size? Is that your stance?

I am saying that if you think it easy to add 30 lbs of bulk and still keep your speed you are kidding yourself.

Now if you read my previous statement I said it's not easy but he can add weight and stay close to his game speed. Like I said, that's the job of a strength and conditioning coach. Hell it's not like the kid was flying, he ran a 4.7 coming out of HS.
