Camps
They host more than one. The first one was just a one-day camp I think. Not sure if this one is more than one day, but I think it is.

Maybe that ass-beating he unleashed on your Weasels in EL in 1999 has been wiped out of your memory banks because your brain subconsciously knows you wouldn't be able to handle it.
Because bro, Plax flat dominated that game and that year. Don't make me dig out the clip of Plax pancaking Terrell.

All they remember from that game is Tom Brady "almost leading a comeback" and bitching at Carr for platooning QBs. They don't remember how Plax owned them.

Yeah, you'd think we'd remember that one better, since its one of two MSU losses in what, the last 11 years or something?

that's bad, but not as bad as UM's pathetic bball record against MSU the last 11 years.

Then you don't know **** about recruiting. Perry is more important to MSU than Smith is, we have WR's we don't have 4 star DE's. You place too much emphasis on who UM and OSU recruit, we need to beat UW, Purdue, Iowa and the like and not worry so much about the cream of the crop like OSU.

So why don't you remember it better then?

Honestly all I remember from Plax is when he punked Terrell who was trying to play defense. I remember Henson sucking, and MSU's defense being really really good.

Smith will be deciding pretty soon, looks like its down to UM and MSU. I'd say its a toss up.

Oh and even though there hasn't been much talk about him..well..because we weren't really pushing for him. Glenn Foster (DE Illinois) committed to the Illini today. He said that he had an MSU offer as well as a Nebraska one. I'm skeptical.

I counted about 170 offers listed there.

If I remember correctly, Saban made the mistake of trying to run out the clock after State got up big ... and that's when Annoying Lloyd's troops started "coming back."
Another batch of unstoppable Plax catches fixed that problem and State won.
Michigan simply had no answer for Plax that day and I still have no idea why Saban didn't just allow Bill Burke and Co. to keep whooping their butts all day.
What is it with MSU football coaches who get content with big leads against traditional powerhouses like Michigan and Notre Dame?
Hint: When you've got em down big, keep kicking 'em. And then show the replay of it over and over to recruits.

this thread is getting totally OT....but......
when teams come back against MSU, it is because they are better teams, and better teams find a way to win. thats exactly what happened last fall vs. ND....sure JLS should have just handed the ball to jehuu 30 times....but in the end we lost because ND was a better team

Funny anecdote
The reason I remember so much about that 1999 game is because at the time, I worked in Fort Wayne and one of my bosses at the time was a huge Michigan fan (even though he didn't go there, of course).
Anyway, he had this Charles Woodson bobblehead doll on his desk and whenever he wanted to get under my skin, he'd pull out "Li'l Charles" and start talking trash about State through the doll.
I even had to admit it was kind of funny, but after awhile, I'd had it. The night before the 1999 Michigan game, he was really off the charts with this, so, when he went home for the night, I kidnapped "Li'l Charles" and took him back to my apartment.
I promptly placed him in the freezer, so as to "freeze" Michigan's chances of winning. Luckily for "Li'l Charles" he was still in his box when I put him in there, or else he may have cracked.
Ha!
Anyway, as the game's going on and State is just kicking the BeJesus out of Michigan .. I kept calling the voicemail for "Li'l Charles'" owner and leaving messages like, "Help me! Help me! It's cold in here! I feel so cold! Oh God, I can't feel my legs! This is "Li'L Charles" You can't treat me like this! I won the Heisman! Ahhh!"
Needless to say, when I returned "Li'l Charles" to his owner, the guy was not pleased. But he was a good sport about it.
