way to totally blow up. Not only did you miss the point but you acted like a complete jackass. we know state needs defensive help more than offensive help right now. but landing fred smith and jonas gray would make a huge statement that undoubtedly could have a profound impact on players like perry and demens. Actually counting baldwin, rigan and mj this year we'll have 3 4 star de's on the roster. not to mention johnson and long who where high 3 stars. Plus a 4 star DE Like Hoover in the pipeline but we definetly need more you're right there, but we also need gray and smith

i think i would have been better off saying that im a bit concerned that some of the more "sleeper" prospects that MD has offered, and have MSU so high, havent pulled the trigger. it never hurts to lock up talent early

sounds like it's us vs. the Huskers for both Gray and Demens. It doesn't sound like distance is a big factor so things could get interesting.

That was fast! Is there any reports on where he would like to go? Is it a distance thing or playing time?

Tech QB Threet leaves program | ajc.com

Not sure why. Too early to tell where he may go, but he's in Michigan right now. This is pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up here at all.

If I hear more, I'll post.

If this is true we should get on this immediately...Threet is a VERY talented qb....I believe he was a 4star elite 11 quarterback if my memory serves me correctly...

your memory has failed you. Nichol was an Elite 11, Threet was not.

no, only a petty person with the emotions of a 3rd grader would still take that so personally.

i certainly don't disagree with that. However, no way he comes here with 2 guys in the same class... I just don't see it. I could be wrong, but a MAC school seems more likely.

That being said, he was lighting up Spring ball and putting pressure on guys significantly older than him... so who knows, maybe he has enough confidence in his talents that he thinks he can compete with Foles.

I seem to remember a poster on here that was supposedly cousin or close friend of his that might be able to shed some light on the situation.

I don't know why, but I just can't enjoy breakfast when I'm not at a strip club.

Rich Rodriguez will be fired or leave his job in disgrace. 'His [MAC-level talent] players' can't save him from his own stupidity. 10/31/8

Michigan simply had no answer for Plax that day and I still have no idea why Saban didn't just allow Bill Burke and Co. to keep whooping their butts all day.

What is it with MSU football coaches who get content with big leads against traditional powerhouses like Michigan and Notre Dame?

Hint: When you've got em down big, keep kicking 'em. And then show the replay of it over and over to recruits.
I don't think you try to run the score up, but you continue to play your game as if it were tied and if the lead increases, so be it. The meltdowns have to stop...I will go to my grave believing that MSU was a better team than ND last year, just not a better coached team. MD coaches the MSU v. ND game last year we win by 24 . What if MD had been the coach in 2005 when we lost to tOSU? Or 2004 UM-AA? on and on. There are so many games we lost with slappy at the helm where I wonder if we had a solid coaching staff running things would we have won? That is all history and we will never know, but that does make me feel good about the future.

Uhh... I see Spartan fans doing this time and again. Let the guy coach one game before crowning him the second coming of Lombardi. Lest we forget, MD was under Saban who was notorious for sitting on leads. I want to see the Spartans win as much as anyone and I am not saying MD will repeat the same mistakes (MD has been doing a lot of things right since he came in), but I'd rather wait and see to judge his in-game coaching abilities.

there are still a couple of in-state quarterbacks that may end up big ten quality QBs...Brendon Kay is off the board(Cincy) but Spencer Krauss and Adam Follett were both at the most recent camp and one of them may get an offer

there is a rumor going around that Fred Smith may have verballed to UM on his visit. Big M could you fill everyone in? I don't think that it is true, but you never know.
