Any updates on new verbals or are we still holding at three while every other program has like 50? Is MD giving up on the plan A and B kids and moving on to the plan D and C kids so he can at least field a team?

Still 3 . . . but the good news is that we are in on a lot of guys that have "potential" and "a huge upside".

Who is it thought that he is leaning toward at this point? I know it's been back and forth between us and scUM

FWIW (probably very little), a UM poster on the scout board has said that Smith made a silent verbal to MSU, and is taking a UM visit just to be sure.

its too hard to tell. there are some rumors coming from last week's camp in EL that he was waiting to see of OSU would give him an offer (for once Scout was right on something), for a while (going back a while ago), and that was complicating things...but his recent trips back to AA and his parents getting up to EL have changed things
if there IS an announcement this week, i fear itll be for scUM -theres still no guarantee that there will be one this weak.
a jonas gray commit would REALLY help getting some solid offensive skill players to pull the trigger for . untill we get that first big skill player commit, its gonna be rough sledding.

C'mon Fred, do waht is right and choose
A lot of if ands and buts around these high level recruits in MI coming to MSU, just hope we can make a statement this year. Any confirmation on Gray and Demens going to Nebraska for a visit? "Nebraska is in the mix for both players, and Gray has stated he will be taking an unofficial visit to Lincoln in mid-July. Will Demens be coming with him or does he have other plans?"

He probably just ran with the GreenPete doofuss' story on the UM Rivals board...

Smith, Demens, and Gray are all MSU. This will give MSU five of the top-10 players in the state. This is a big improvement over Slappy. MSU could still get Perry also. Six of the top-10 players in the state in His first year, Dantonio is going to own UM for years to come.

no link. I am not worried about two kids from Detroit going to Nebraska over an in-state school. Smith will do the right thing and commit to MSU. There will be too much competition at UM at WR. Perry could still commit even though UM is suppose to be his leader. Dantonio, in his first year, could land six or seven of the top-10 players in the state. That is impressive.

per SM, Ray might be close to a decision.
these are the guys MD needs to lock up too....the guys who have favored MSU since day one, and have impressed the hell out of people at camp...these are the kind of guys whose stock can rise big time if they have good senior years, and then by then they might be out of reach

Any chance we can get tanfan's posts removed from this thread? Nobody needs this clown cluttering up a recruiting thread with his irrelavant ramblings.
This board would be ****ting a brick if we had Purdue's recruiting class. I'll take quality over quantity, especially in July.

Eff you little *** ggot. Some dork that lives in Oak Park and brags about his high school hockey days, that sits all day long believing the Green Kool Aid from Spartan mag, checking everyday to see if any warm body had verballed is a wannabe if I ever saw one.

You're so out of place in a recruiting thread I really needn't respond, as your work speaks for itself, but I can't resist an easy target.
