You also said any commit would be good right now. Hell I'll commit, that sure wouldn't get anything rolling though.

Aren't Florida and MSU going after quite a few of the same players?

But what is your point that it's ok for UF to have a low number of commits because they're going after 5 stars? There are 27 5-star recruits. 17 of those 27 have given verbal committments. 0 of those 27 have committed to UF. So your argument about them going after 5 stars holds no water as an excuse for a lack of commitments. There is far more reasonable explanations for MSU to have just a few commits (such as 3-straight losing seasons and a new coach) than there is for UF to have just a few commits (defending national champs).
Also, define "going after". If you think Dantonio and his staff would look at any kid in the country and say, "You know, he's too highly rated, let's not bother because we don't have a chance", then you are sadly mistaken. Now whether those kids are interested in MSU is another story. But considering where each program is, what is the difference between UF not having commits from kids who are being pursued by all the top programs in the nation, and MSU having commits from kids who are being pursued by the mid-pack BCS programs?

Ummm I don't think Florida fans are at all concerned about what the class is gonna be like. 5 star players often take their time committing. We aren't after any 5 stars.

Ummm, as I already pointed out 17 of the 27 5-star recruits (63%) have already committed. Yeah, they're really taking their time. I'm pretty sure that less than 63% of 4 stars, and probably 3 stars have committed. In fact, 3 stars and 4 stars can often take MORE time to commit, because they're hoping a good senior year will get them more offers. If a kid is hoping to get an OSU offer, is he going to commit to MSU in July?
By the way, I guess Pryor isn't a 5 star?
Give it up. Your entire argument about why it is "ok" for Florida, but not MSU, to have only a few commits is being proven wrong over and over.

no matter the topic, you just don't have a clue do you?
While you may not get Pryor, he does still have MSU on the list, and MSU is most definitely going after him. I guess maybe you should just stick to personal attack posts.

MSU has better than average chances with Staples, Panell, Gray and Demens.
I think MSU has a fighters chance with Smith and Perry.
MSU gets three of the above mentioned six, this thread will explode to Melissa and Ringer levels.

its a pattern i see. Nothing to really add to a thread. Attack a poster with nonsense. Throw out a statement. Be proven wrong on the statement by all. Attack a poster with nonsense.

That's about as accurate as saying that Pujols is going to hit a HR tonight because 'he is due.'

I hope not. If MD is going after someone hard enough, right now, then they probably have that player in one of their top tiers of recruits, and four recruits would be more than three recruits.

From what I've read on the Mag, Ray is the real deal. Rated lower than he should be.
However, considering all the "sleeper/under the radar/hidden gems/unturned rocks" of the last regime, I am withholding judgement.

To be fair, just because our "prospect list" isn't full of 5 star players doesn't mean ****. You'd have to be crazy to think we haven't offered a lot of them.
