MI is likely a done deal to Bama
Perry I think we still have a shot with, however tenuous that may be.

I would not be surprised to see Ingram go to MSU because it is close to home but we know both 'Bama and ASU's coaching staffs are tell'em anything recruiters. Ask Foles about ASU.
If Ingram goes to 'Bama he will see the bait and switch no later than the second week of practice. He will not see time as a RB for awhile at 'Bama

Yeah, we are well set here. Add that to the fact that the state of Michigan will have two stud RBs in the next class, and taking one this year is just fine.

Could someone explain in a nutshell why Mark Ingram, a 3-4* running back, is critical to the success of this recruiting class? Especially in light of MSU's depth and current commits at this position?
Perry I totally get. But I'm scratching my head over the attention Ingram is getting outside of him being a legacy recruit. All indications are that his alumnus father is not a factor in his decision.

He's not critical. But he will be a star RB, and you always want one on your team.

Ingram falls into the "own your back yard" philosophy that Dantonio is preaches. Dantonio, Carr and now rr do not like the USC's OK, PSU, Miami, Florida and now 'Bama sliding into MI and picking off recruits at the 11th hour. It portrays the instate programs as weak and gives those other schools traction in future recruiting.

Dorsey on SM says Ingram is going to Alabama. He was all but promised the starting job, but MD would not make such a promise. Sounds like ******** is saying whatever it takes to get Ingram down there.
Not sure why Sli*ck Ni*ck is edited out?

Look at the recent picture of him running in Ann Arbor and then watch his video and you'll soon realize this kid isn't your average recruit. I've had many intelligent coaches tell me he is the most impressive hs fball player they have ever seen. I could give a crap if we have a few young decent kids. We don't have players like this. Does USC stop bringing in top talent because they already have some talent at the position? NO. Why do we think we are "all set" at the running back position? Ingram is a gamebreaker and I'll be flat out pissed if we lose him.

A friend from Flint Southwestern Academy (a football coach) answered my voice mail about the time of the presser. I thought it was tomorrow so might have stopped by (It's today at 3:30.)
His message " It's 90-10 MSU fans will be disappointed". He's thinking 'Bama's late push won out

I've also heard that Ingram wasn't promised anything by our coaches.
is a straight shooter, unlike his former boss and a lot of other slimeballs out there.
Good luck cashing in on $aban's promise, Mark. He's obviously a very stand-up guy.

I'm guessing it can be heard on any number of organizations out of Alabama. Don't have an answer for you though. Sorry.
I hate Saban.

Ingram to Bama
According to Dorsey, etc. on MSU premium board. Flat out pissed. Before you respond with, we don't need rbs that bad, you might ask yourself if the elite schools are satisfied and stop bringing in more talent at a position.

I've heard that he wasn't a lock to play RB at MSU (they were toying with the notion of him as a safety), and that -- among other things -- had him looking elsewhere.
