saw him play in the HS playoffs this year against Roch Adams - the kid is quick as hell - didnt really have the run away speed (got caught from behind a on a couple long runs) but was able to make people miss

"I think a lot of the kids that they got are slightly underrated," Yarberry said. "I would have thought they'd be in the top half of the Big Ten, for sure. In my eyes, some of the linemen they got, like Zach Hueter, at 6-foot-8, 290, Ethan Ruhland (6-2, 275), should have been rated higher.
"Caulton Ray could possibly be the best running back in the state out of this class. Michigan State is known for turning a lot of guys people might have overlooked into All-Big Ten players."

It will be interesting to see how much weight/muscle this kid can add. I don't know if any of you have seen Maurice Jones/Drew on the J.Jags play but..........any time I see a shorter kid that is this strong it intrigues me. He'll continue to get stronger.........all kids do once they get into the strength and training program and PROBABLY put on 20 lbs. or so.........we'll see. But Jones-Drew is a physical freak. Rome had him on the other day: 5'7" and 220lbs. I believe. Holy Crapola. Lil' powder keg of dynamite.

I saw him play against Rochester Hills Stoney Creek. It was like a man vs. the boys.
His speed through the hole was incredible.
I still remember one of our linebackers reaching out to tackle him and then not even get a finger on him!
Welcome Ray!

Is this young man related to Arthur Ray, our OL who's beating cancer? Just curious.

to me he is the most over looked player in the class. with all the focus and attention we gave to Ingram MSU may still have a franchise RB in its class.

Saw this game and the Adams game, Likewise impressed by his speed through the hole. Needs to add a little size, but his athleticism should help make him a good back in the big ten. Also showed good toughness, too after being hurt in a great dive over a defender in the Adams game

That was some very good video. He appears to have speed and elusiveness, but a lot of toughness also. When it looked like he was wrapped up, he fought hard and got free again many times. We shall see how it translates to the B10 level.
I loved the play where the QB ended up in front of him making blocks! haha
He has a very good Sparq score also.
