Football MGoBlog guy on Pryor

MGoBlog

Wow. Talk about overanalyzing.

Chill out, buddy. I know Pryor is the uber recruit and supposedly the answer to all of Michigan's prayers, but man. He just wrote one of the longest blogs I've ever seen about a high school kid he's never even met.

Brian routinely writes blog entries longer than today's about Pryor.

Well, they aren't all always about recruiting. Football mostly, but he does do a lot of college hockey and Pistons basketball when the football news slows down.

I still think his best work was the play by play analysis of the App State game. I laughed for days reading that.

He apparently didn't get the memo.

Scary thing is that he might be better than everyone is making him out to be

Although honestly I've read he's not accurate at all, completing just over 50% of his passes in HS. He's going to take a year or two to develop at least. . . and by then tOSU will be off our schedule!!

Have you ever seen a high school game? You can hit wide open recievers in the hands, and your completion percentages are not very high.

Neither was Vince Young coming out though. He's the no. 1 prospect for a reason.

I thought Pryor looked very good at the UA game. Gray did not look good that day.

One game of course.

Pryor at OSU For Basketball Game

Is this post in the right place? I know it's not an MSU recruiting issue but it does deal with a recruiting question... so here goes...

**************************************************************************************

Does anybody know if it is allright for coaches to have and/or schedule visits with recruits right now?

I am talking about '07 players that will be freshmen next year...

Ah heck..I might as well come out with it...

Terelle Pryor was at the OSU basketball game Saturday...all the student were chanting..."We want Pryor.." at halftime...when he left his seat from behind the bench and went to the lockeroom...where he met with Tressel.

That's right...he had a meeting with Tressel...

Just curious... does anybody have a website on recruiting visits and meetings with players...what are the rules?

Good friend of mine who is from Pittsburgh alerted me to the game he had this weekend. Not a bad line to win the state championship (39pts/24boards/10blocks/6assists ).

WPIAL AA Boys' Championship: Pryor comes up with triple-double in title game

However, here is video of the game. Click on game #4. In particular about half way through. Remember that this was during the game. I can't believe the coach allowed him to get away with it. This kid could be a bit of a headcase.

Actually WPIAL is Section 7 of the PIAA. It is Southwestern PA minus the Pittsburgh Public schools. The state championship starts on Saturday. Supposedly he is waiting for basketball to be over to take his trip to Penn State. But if he can why can get to Columbus why can he not get to State College? Does not look good for JoPa. Looks like he is just taking the trip to State College to make his dad happy.

I don't know if he was rated higher than Henne. Henne was Joepa's first choice. Now if Henne had gone to PSU and Tony M. to Pitt.......

The QB from Fightin' Blue Hens (Pitt transfer) may get drafted before both of them.

Pryor down to two
Quote:
All that's left of Pryor's high school days from an athletic standpoint is his long-awaited decision on where he will go to college. He told a group of reporters yesterday that he'll probably announce his decision this week. His final choices had been Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon, but he said yesterday he has trimmed the list to two schools that he would not name. He's not planning any visits.
Supposedly he was waiting for a trip to Penn State before he made a decision. Now he is not taking an official trip to Penn State. However the championship basketball game was in Bryce Jordan Center which shares parking lots with the stadium.
